Delta Force: Rover and Clover Release Date, Dev Stream Times

In brief

Rover and his dog Clover arrive in Delta Force on September 8 with the Reorientation season. Before that date, three crucial deadlines await you: September 4 for the limited Delta Tickets, September 7 to complete the Total War challenges, and above all September 1 at 5 PM for the Dev Stream that will finally reveal Rover's true stats.

Team Jade announced on August 24 its next operator for Delta Force: Rowan Walsh, codename Rover, arrives accompanied by Clover, a dog. The two join the squad on September 8, along with the second anniversary season, dubbed Reorientation.

The announcement amounts to four sentences. Let's get straight to what it does contain, what it doesn't contain, and above all what these two dates mean for your resources in the current season.

Team Jade's announcement exists only in English, including on the game's French-language feed. The passages in quotation marks in this article are our translation: they are not official wording from the French client.

What Team Jade actually wrote

The statement, published in English only, reads as follows:

"Rowan Walsh, codename Rover, and Clover, his four-legged best friend, join the squad in the second anniversary season, 'Reorientation,' on September 8. Rover heals from range. Clover handles the chase."

Six words to describe a full kit. "Rover heals from range" clearly places him on the support side — that's also the term used in the official title of the announcement. "Clover handles the chase" indicates that the dog is an offensive or tracking tool, not just a decorative companion.

And that's it. No numerical abilities, no gadget names, no healing range, no cooldown times have been published. Anything circulating beyond these two sentences falls under speculation or datamining, and should be treated as such.

The September 1 appointment at 5 p.m. Paris time

That's where the kit will be detailed. Team Jade has announced a Dev Stream dedicated to the Reorientation season:

  • Date: Tuesday, September 1, 2026;
  • Time: 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT / 5 p.m. CEST, i.e. 5 p.m. in France — the publisher itself gives the European time, so there's no risky conversion to make;
  • Announced content: "how they found each other — and where their trail leads."

Seven days separate this livestream from the season's launch. This is Team Jade's usual slot for revealing an operator's numbers: if you want to know what Rover is worth before spending anything, that's the day to watch, not the 8th.

What the September 8 date means for the current season

This is the part that's actionable right now. The official calendar for the current season, published in French on Delta Force's Steam feed, places the end of its event block at September 7 — exactly the day before Reorientation launches. Two major events stop there:

  • Air Supremacy Trial, played in Total War mode within the Ace Hunt mode — escorting your VIPs, eliminating enemy threats — and ending on September 7.
  • Teaming Up, the War challenge to complete as a group, which closes the same day.

The conclusion is mechanical: anything not claimed by the evening of September 7 will no longer be available. A season change resets the counters to zero, and event currency doesn't survive its window.

The list of deadlines to meet before the transition

DeadlineCutoff date
Morning Flower bundle (Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln collaboration), to unlock for freeAugust 27
Limited-time Delta Tickets from the August event, to spendSeptember 4
The two end-of-season Total Warfare challengesSeptember 7
Launch of the Reorientation season and RoverSeptember 8

The classic end-of-season trap in Delta Force isn't battle pass progression: it's event currency left sitting in the account. Limited-time Delta Tickets carry their expiration in their name, and September 4 falls four days before the transition — not on the day itself.

A dog in an extraction shooter: what questions does that raise

Without official figures, we can at least ask the right questions, the ones the September 1 livestream will have to answer:

  • Is Clover detectable and killable? In an extraction mode, a companion that moves through an area reveals a position just as much as it uncovers one. The answer entirely determines the character's value in Operations.
  • Is Rover's ranged healing an area heal or a targeted heal? The two play out very differently in Warfare, where squads are spread out.
  • Will Rover be free or tied to the season pass? Team Jade hasn't said anything. Previous season operators have followed different models depending on the case.

A note on names

Team Jade usually translates its announcements into French on Steam — the August 19 patch notes did indeed mention "Chers opérateurs," "Guerre totale," and the "Course à la fortune." The Rover announcement, however, only exists in English, including on the French-language thread.

So there is currently no official French wording for the codename Rover, for Clover, or for the season name Reorientation. We're keeping them in English. There's a known precedent: the current season, announced under the name Meltdown, became saison Fusion in the French client — the French name came afterward, not before. Wait for the French version of the patch notes rather than going with an invented translation.

Key takeaways

  1. September 1, 5 PM Paris time: Dev Stream for the Reorientation season. This is where Rover's kit will be detailed.
  2. September 8: season launch and arrival of Rover and Clover.
  3. Evening of September 7: the two end-of-season Warfare challenges close.
  4. September 4: final deadline for your time-limited Delta Tickets. This is the deadline people tend to forget.

In your opinion, what will Clover mainly do in Operations?

Frequently asked questions

When will we really know Rover's abilities?
On Tuesday, September 1 at 5 PM Paris time, during the Dev Stream dedicated to Reorientation. Team Jade will reveal the numbers, cooldowns, ranges — everything that's missing today.
What happens if I don't claim my Delta Tickets before September 4?
They disappear. An event currency never survives its window, and the season change resets all counters to zero. September 4 isn't launch day, it's your real deadline.
Will the end-of-season Total War challenges come back?
No. The Air Supremacy Trial and the "Team Up Together" challenge close on the evening of September 7 and won't return. If you'd started them, finish them before that date.
Can Clover be killed by the enemy team?
Team Jade hasn't specified. It's a major question: if the dog is detectable and can be eliminated, that completely changes the character's balance in Operations. The answer will come on September 1.
Will Rover be paid content or included in the season pass?
No official information for now. Previous operators have followed different models. The September 1 Dev Stream should clarify how to access him.

Key takeaways

  • Rover heals from a distance, Clover tracks — but no stats exist yet, the Dev Stream on September 1 at 5 PM will be decisive
  • September 7 permanently closes the current season: the Total War challenges and Air Supremacy disappear, counters reset to zero
  • The limited-time Delta Tickets from August expire on September 4, four days before Reorientation — it's the classic trap players forget
  • Team Jade has only announced four sentences; everything else is speculation or datamining, to be treated as such until the official stream
