Delta Force: Fortune Run treasure hunt guide — getting treasure maps and extracting

The treasure hunt has been live in Delta Force since August 8 and will run until September 7, 2026. It's the big end-of-season Fusion feature on the Havoc Warfare side, and it hinges entirely on an item many players still don't have in their inventory: the treasure map. Without it, no clue, no excavation site, no event reward.

The problem lies in the timing. The distribution of treasure maps via login rewards stopped on August 7, the day before launch. There's only a short window left to easily build up a stock: until August 13, searching travel bags ("Travel Bags" in the official patch notes, whose French version has not yet been published) across the five relevant maps gives a chance to find the treasure map for the current zone. After that date, you'll have to go through the event EXP shop instead.

Second trap: the five zones don't open on the same day. As of August 9, only Zero Dam and Layali Grove support the treasure hunt. Brakkesh and the AZ3 Nuclear Plant follow on August 10, and Space City on August 12. Here's how to spread the effort over the remaining four weeks without wasting a single map.

The gameplay loop, in four steps

The August 6 update, deployed without server downtime, activated a simple but unforgiving cycle when approached in the wrong order.

• Retrieve the treasure map for the target zone. Each treasure map is tied to a specific Havoc Warfare map. A Zero Dam map is useless at Layali Grove.
• Bring it into a raid. The item must be in your loadout before the match starts. It won't appear mid-match if you left without it.
• Decode the on-site clue. The official notes refer to "clues" that must be cross-referenced with the terrain: signals to decrypt, visual landmarks, structures under which the loot is buried. You then interact with the treasure machine or excavation point to dig up the loot.
• Extract. This is the only step that truly matters: every event description ties the event EXP and high-value supplies to a successful extraction. Dying with the treasure in your bag earns you nothing.

Stocking up on treasure maps before August 13

This is the weekend's urgent task. The drop from travel bags only lasts from August 8 to 13, and it's specific to each map: you'll only find the Layali Grove treasure map by searching bags at Layali Grove. In practical terms, this means running short raids focused on looting containers rather than fighting, on the zones you plan to farm afterward.

The most cost-effective approach is to plan ahead for the openings: Brakkesh and AZ3 unlock on August 10, Space City on August 12, but the drop itself cuts off on the 13th. That leaves only a few days of overlap to stockpile maps for these three zones. If you have to prioritize, build up a stock on Brakkesh and Space City first: these are the two maps whose official clues are the most explicit, and therefore the quickest to turn into rewards.

Once the window has closed, the only lasting source becomes the Treasure Map Provisions Selection Pack, exchangeable for event EXP in the dedicated shop. The event is self-sustaining: every treasure dug up and extracted funds the next map. That's also why you shouldn't let your points sit idle until September 7.

The five-zone schedule

The names are deliberately left in English: the French patch notes for the August 6 update had not yet been published on the official site at the time of writing, unlike those for July 30. The zone names, however, are indeed those from the French client.

The hints already given by the publisher, zone by zone

Team Jade has dropped more information than it seems in the description of each mission. These are official starting points, not community rumors.

• Zero Dam: the hint revolves around secret signals from the dam. In practical terms: the dam's listening points and technical infrastructure, not the usual loot zones.
• Layali Grove: "follow the rails". The railway that runs through the zone acts as a guiding thread, which shifts the search away from the village.
• Brakkesh: the publisher explicitly cites the baths and beneath the trees. Two concrete landmarks, in narrow alleys where a duel is almost guaranteed.
• AZ3 Nuclear Power Plant: signals buried beneath specific structures. To be cross-referenced with the map's dynamic radiation zones, which limit search time.
• Space City: the cactus and the dock. It's the shortest hint of the series, and the publisher presents it as the hardest to solve.

Extracting alive: the real challenge

The treasure hunt mechanically shifts the front lines. Everyone converges on the same landmarks, creating artificial hotspots in zones that were previously quiet. Three principles limit the damage.

Scout the extraction point before digging. The return trip matters more than the search itself: excavating immobilizes you and gives away your position. Choose your exit point on arrival, not after picking up the loot.

Travel light on early runs. As long as you're still searching for the exact location of a clue, the goal is scouting, not profit. Modest gear makes failure painless and lets you start again right away.

Shift your schedule. The zones opened on August 8 are the most congested right now. Brakkesh and AZ3 on the 10th, the Space City on the 12th: showing up when a new zone opens means facing the crowd; showing up two days later means finding the ground clear while the event still runs until September 7.

What the hunt actually pays out

Beyond the high-value loot brought back in raid, the main track unlocks for free an epic weapon skin for the QJB201 light machine gun, a calling card and a limited spray paint, as well as Treasure Map Supply Selection Packs. The event EXP earned on every successful extraction is exchanged in the event shop, where these packs are the priority spend as long as the hunt isn't over.

In parallel, the mid-season update from July 30 keeps running until September 7: standard missions and match challenges feed Season EXP, which can be exchanged for the limited skins from the Retro Waves series (VSS, AUG, M1911, Vityaz) and armament vouchers. The two currencies are separate, so don't mix them up in your planning.

The side content not to miss this week

The limited-time Tekniq Alloy Shop closes on August 13: it exchanges your Tekniq Alloy for Quantum Keys, armament vouchers, and the 7-Day Advanced Vault Access Key. The latter directly pays for itself during a treasure hunt, since it secures more loot in case of death.

The collaboration content also continues: relics from the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln have appeared in Operations since August 8 and will remain until September 7. Three porcelain pieces ("Red Vase", "Ducktor Sui", and "Winner Chicken Cup" — unofficial English labels) can be viewed in 3D from the Event screen. It's purely cosmetic and narrative, but it adds to the Morning Flower Set already unlockable for free until August 27.

Finally, Ahsarah Cards remain collectible until September 7: the playing cards are looted from supplies during raids, and once the full set is completed, they can be carried into matches. No impact on power level, but they're picked up along the way during your looting runs.

The plan for the next four weeks

Between now and August 13, everything should go toward stockpiling treasure maps: it's the only resource whose easy supply has a set deadline. After that, the pace flips: you consume the stockpile, cash in the event EXP, and buy back packs to keep going until September 7.

One last date to keep in mind: the limited-time Delta Tickets earned during this period expire on September 4 at 23:59:59 UTC, three days before the hunt itself ends. Two separate deadlines, then, which are better handled independently rather than pushed off to the final week.
