In brief

The open beta for Modern Warfare 4 closes on September 1st at 7:00 PM CEST across all platforms. Your rewards — eight tiers — will carry over and activate when the game launches on October 23rd, but all your progress will be wiped.

The open beta for Modern Warfare 4 closes on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00pm, Paris time — no exceptions: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Steam, Battle.net and Nintendo Switch 2 shut down at the same time. The official blog announces "19h CEST" in French and "10:00 AM PT" in English: the two match up.

What survives are the rewards: the eight beta tiers are tied to your Activision account and will return when the game launches, on Friday, October 23. Everything else disappears — player level, unlocked weapons, any other progress.

Before the deadline, the only goal still worth chasing is level 30, the cap for the second weekend. It unlocks the last three tiers, up to the "Forged by the Beta" weapon blueprint for the Han 86.

After that, nothing until the fall: early access to the campaign on Friday, October 16 for pre-orders, full release on the 23rd. Infinity Ward comes away with four more days of data, after a first weekend that had emptied out on Steam.
