California studio founded in 2002, the creator of the Call of Duty series and the Modern Warfare branch that turned it into a worldwide phenomenon starting in 2007. Acquired by Activision as early as 2003, Infinity Ward weathered the dramatic departure of its founders in 2010 without losing its position at the helm of the franchise: the studio still leads the Modern Warfare installments, supported by a network of the group's internal studios.
