ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition launches at 22:00 UTC on Switch 2
In brief
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition arrives on Switch 2 at 12:00 AM in France this Friday, August 28, 2026, priced at €79.99 for 41 GB. The same day, other platforms (PS, Xbox, PC) receive the Shadowless pack for €4.99, which adds two brand-new classes, appearances for Torrent, and four armor sets.
ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition has been available on Nintendo Switch 2 since 22:00 UTC on Thursday, August 27, 2026 — 00:00 CEST on Friday, August 28. The French eShop, where we noted the price, lists it at €79.99 for a 41 GB download.
On the same day, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC receive this content sold separately under the name "Tarnished Pack", at €4.99. There, Bandai Namco published precise times in the version 1.17 patch notes: 0:00 local time on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and 00:00 CEST on Steam — that is 22:00 UTC on August 27, 7:00 JST and 15:00 PDT.

The publisher, however, has not communicated any unlock time specific to Switch 2. As for pre-loading, Nintendo charges pre-orders at the earliest seven days before release and downloads a non-playable version: a small update still needs to be downloaded on launch day before playing.
The Tarnished Pack adds two starting classes, the Heavy Knight and the Idus Knight, three Spectral Steed Attires for Torrent, and four new armor sets. Those are the names Bandai Namco uses in the version 1.17 patch notes, which exist in English only.
