About
In 2000, Microsoft created Microsoft Game Studios (now known by the sweeter name of Xbox Game Studios), its video game development division. Located in Redmond, Washington, it manages numerous internal studios that produce exclusives for Xbox consoles and PC, and also as part of game production for the Game Pass service.
Among Xbox Game Studios' major franchises are notably "Halo" (the sci-fi FPS series initially developed by Bungie then 343 Industries), "Forza" (a reference among racing simulations, spearheaded by Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games), and "Gears of War" (the cooperative shooter series developed by The Coalition).
It's also worth noting that the "Minecraft" (by Mojang), "Fallout" and "The Elder Scrolls" (Bethesda) licenses also belong to it.
