State of Decay 3 pursues the one idea that truly sets the series apart from other zombie games: it's not a hero you play, it's a community. Every survivor has their skills, their quirks and their fatigue, and when they die, they don't come back — the loss is paid for in know-how lost to the whole group.

Undead Labs announces a more reactive world, with seasons that change available resources and a zombie horde able to follow noise over long distances. Online co-op moves up to four players, with no leash: everyone can wander off on their own instead of staying glued to the host. Published by Xbox Game Studios, the game is expected in 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, available day one in Game Pass, and will be translated into French (interface and subtitles).
