Stranded Deep 2: reveal trailer trades the island for the desert
About Stranded Deep 2
Official sequel to the cult survival sandbox released in 2015, Stranded Deep 2 leaves the desert island behind for a brand new destination: a desert crossed by an endless river, between canyons, dunes and rapids. The core concept stays the same in spirit: you're dropped with no resources, no rescue, and you have to deal with hunger, thirst and exposure to the elements to survive one more day.
The big new feature is this mobile base: instead of anchoring yourself to a single camp, you build a shelter that floats on the river, which you can move around as you explore. Add to that wildlife that follows a real food chain, deformable terrain, and a level editor (the Cartographer) to create and share your own zones. Enough to appeal to an audience already familiar with survival crafting, but curious about a setting less overused than the usual tropical island.
