Gears of War: E-Day

Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel to the historic Gears of War franchise, retracing the iconic day of E-Day, the day of the massive Locust invasion of the planet Sera. This new installment reveals the origins of the war against these monstrous creatures through the heroic missions of Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, already soldiers of the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG).

The gameplay, faithful to the spirit of the series' TPS (Third-Person Shooter) roots, revolves around brutal melee combat with the iconic chainsaw bayonet, new cover mechanics and, above all, epic battles against numerous enemy hordes. The developers promise a huge next-gen graphical leap, greatly enhanced enemy AI, and destructible environments for total immersion in this dark post-apocalyptic universe.

Revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase, this title has sparked more than palpable enthusiasm among fans of the saga. Initially planned for Xbox Series and PC, then later for PS5, Gears of War: E-Day should breathe new life into the saga while winning over a new generation.
