Starry Studio is overhauling the Once Human shop after the update of Monday, August 24, and the operation pulls part of the cosmetics out of the catalogue. For Metas who had their eye on an item, the window closes overnight from August 24 to 25.

The Dev Blog published on Friday, August 21 on Steam details three jobs. The studio first removes the least viewed and least purchased items, from a catalogue judged too large. It then drops the three-level category tabs, replaced by category filters at the top of the page. It finally adds a “Personal Hub” page, opened from the currency bar in the top right, which gathers currencies, coupons, wish list and subscriptions.

One snag: the list of the cosmetics concerned only appears in the announcement as an image, with no name in text. There is no way to reproduce it here: it sits on the game’s Steam page. Starry Studio states that these items are not gone for good — they will come back now and again, through the “Wish Bazaar” and other mechanisms — but writes that if one of them catches your eye, you may as well take it while it is there.

The August 24 maintenance is set for 4:00 p.m. Pacific time, that is 1:00 a.m. Paris time on August 25. The same window closes the current battle pass, applies the 60% cut on outfit dyeing and comes just before the PS5 and Xbox Series versions open, on August 25.
