The Alien Ruins are one of the first locations you will visit after finishing the first biome. This site contains extraterrestrial structures adorned with mysterious symbols. Heading into the Ruins, you'll notice that the buildings often display strange shapes - and often glow with a green light, but before you can understand the Axum language, you'll need to build the Feedback Resonator.

Mastering the Axum Language

The first step to understanding the language is to obtain the Axum Vision Adaptation. This astonishing upgrade will let you detect yellow symbols within the Ruins. But often, these come with an error message, indicating that the translation didn't work. This means you need to keep learning the language.

Scanning the Rosetta Stone

After obtaining the Axum Vision Adaptation, head to the Rosetta Stone. This archaeological piece is indeed necessary to decipher the inscriptions. With your scanner, you'll be able to scan it and gather information about the alien language and culture.

Deciphering the Symbols

In the Ruins, you'll encounter symbols, sometimes highly stylized and varied. Examine them carefully. Some may represent concepts or objects, others may be elements of the alien culture.
