Palworld Paloxite: how to get it, farm it and use it - full guide

Paloxite is one of the resources introduced with Palworld's version 1.0 and the World Tree area. It's an endgame material, essential as soon as you're aiming for the most advanced gear and structures. But you still need to know where to find it, how to mine it without watching it vanish before your eyes, and what it's actually used for. This guide covers the whole topic.

What is Paloxite?

Paloxite is a crystallized substance born from the energy released by the World Tree. The game describes it as fragile and "reserved for those who hold the tree's blessing": in practical terms, it's one of the keys to accessing the most advanced ancient technologies.

As for the technical details, here's what matters: it's a material of common rarity in the area where it's found, has a unit weight of 5, sells for around 3,000 gold coins apiece, and stacks up to 9,999 per inventory slot. That relatively high weight matters: an intensive mining session will quickly weigh down your bag, so keep that in mind before heading out.

Where to find Paloxite

Paloxite is harvested almost exclusively in the World Tree region, the area unlocked at the end of progression. It appears as reddish crystalline deposits that you mine like any other ore vein. The most profitable clusters are concentrated around the trunk and roots of the tree.

Here are the most reliable farming spots, marked by their in-game coordinates:

The best route is to set up a fast travel point at the heart of the area, then chain the deposits in a loop: the vein respawn time usually lets you get back to the starting point right as the circuit finishes.

How to mine Paloxite without losing it

This is the classic trap with this resource, and the real heart of the matter: Paloxite deposits disappear if you don't have the World Tree's "blessing". Two methods let you work around this.

The first is to drink World Tree Holy Water before mining. Its effect lets you harvest the deposits without them evaporating. It's the simplest solution if you have some in stock.

The second, more sustainable one, relies on Pals: some have a passive trait for "preserving World Tree resources." Summoning them while harvesting stabilizes the veins. This is the option to favor for long-term farming, since it doesn't burn through any consumables.

For the mining itself, a good miner Pal changes everything. Digtoise is the go-to choice: its partner skill Drill Crusher triggers a spinning attack that pulverizes ore with a massively higher yield than a standard pickaxe. Its Mining (level 4) work suitability also makes it an excellent automatic miner if you leave it at the base. Also consider bringing along a Pal that boosts your carrying capacity: given Paloxite's unit weight, you'll fill up your inventory well before clearing out a whole area.

Other sources of Paloxite

Mining remains the main method, but it's not the only one. If you want to diversify your supply, three other options round out the picture.

Expeditions to the World Tree are probably the most interesting passive source: they yield between 15 and 30 guaranteed Paloxite per trip, without you having to lift a finger once your Pals are on their way. Chests and loot scattered around the area also contain some, with a decent drop chance. Finally, ancient relic recyclers can produce a few units, a nice bonus option when you're breaking down surplus items.

What Paloxite is used for

Paloxite is only worthwhile for what it lets you craft, and it's involved in two major recipes.

The first, and by far the most important, is the Paloxite Ingot. It's the refined material that opens the door to all the highest-tier gear (see the next section).

The second is the Anti-corrosion Mask, a protective item unlocked at level 76 of the tech tree. Its recipe requires 30 Paloxite and 10 Anti-miasma Membrane. It's a heavy investment, reserved for players exploring the most hostile environments.

Crafting the Paloxite Ingot

The Paloxite Ingot is forged exclusively at the Ancient Furnace, a production station unlocked at level 66 of the tech tree. Unlike a regular furnace, the Ancient Furnace can cast any type of ingot, but it requires an electricity supply: you'll need a connected Generator, with a Pal that has Kindling (fire) and Cooling traits stationed on it to keep it running.

The recipe for a Paloxite Ingot consists of:

• 2 Paloxite
• 1 Sorasite - a rare ore mined in the Astral Mountains region, also obtainable through expeditions or as loot from certain Pals
• 1 World Tree Holy Water

In other words, a single ingot requires three endgame resources at once: make sure you have a comfortable stock of each before starting mass production.

What the Paloxite Ingot unlocks

The Paloxite Ingot is described in-game as an unyielding alloy, vital for the highest-tier gear and structures. In practice, it powers nearly your entire endgame loadout:

• advanced saddles for your best mount Pals;
• high-tier weapons (ray gun, plasma gun, drone launcher);
• ancient armors resistant to heat and cold, including their lightweight variants;
• basic ancient structures: ancient farm, ancient incubator, ancient generator.
