Palworld 1.0 Soralite and Soralite Ingots: how to get them

In brief

Sorane Ore is the essential late-game resource in Palworld, needed starting at level 67 for advanced gear and machines. You'll only find it on the floating islands of Sunreach to the south, mine it with the Multi-Plasma Cutter (level 54), then turn it into ingots using the Ancient Furnace (level 66) — a demanding crafting chain, but one that's worth every minute invested.

Soralite is straight-up late-game Palworld material. You'll need it starting at level 67 for almost all advanced recipes - armor, tools, machines. But before you can smelt a single unit of it, you need to unlock the right tools, head to a very specific zone, and understand why your usual pickaxe is completely useless here.

Where to find Soralite: Sunreach

Soralite only exists on the floating islands of Sunreach, to the south of the map. Not on Palpagos, nor anywhere else. To get there, gain altitude with a flying mount. Once you're in the area, Soralite nodes are hard to miss: they're big dark rocks surrounded by small blue crystals. They spawn naturally all over the place as you explore, with no specific spot to memorize, but some islets are only reachable by flying.

Note

You can also get Soralite by opening chests scattered across the floating islands, or from drops of certain Pals in the area. Handy for stocking up before you even have the crafting skill.

Getting the multi-plasma cutter - mandatory

Forget your pickaxe. Classic tools do nothing against Soralite nodes. The only tool capable of mining them is the multi-plasma cutter, unlocked in the Technology tab starting at level 54.

Crafting it requires some pretty hefty materials, all coming from intermediate recipes you need to unlock beforehand:

  • Pal Metal Ingot - Electric Furnace
  • Plasteel - Technology level 50
  • Bio-battery - Technology level 44
  • Computer - Technology level 50
  • Cryogenic Coolant - Technology level 31

It's a fairly long crafting chain. If you hit level 54 without having planned ahead, expect a few back-and-forth trips.

How to properly mine a node

Finding the node isn't enough. Once you're facing the rock, look for a weak point visible as a crack in the rock. Equip the multi-plasma cutter and aim exactly at that crack. Aiming anywhere else doesn't work - the game is strict about this.

Tip

For base Pals, a minimum Mining level of 5 is recommended. Pals that are too weak will just "bounce off" the nodes and won't gather anything useful.

Automate it with the Soralite Quarry

If you're playing the long game, unlock the Soralite Quarry at Technology level 72. Build it at your base, assign Pals to it, and gathering becomes passive. This is the optimal setup so you don't have to keep flying back to Sunreach every ten minutes.

Crafting Soralite Ingots - level 66 required

Soralite Ingots unlock at Technology level 66. To produce them, you need the Ancient Furnace - a dedicated structure, separate from standard furnaces. Each ingot consumes 2 Soralite and 2 Pure Quartz. Pure Quartz is found in the cold zones of the Astral Mountains, so remember to stock up on it in parallel.

Building and using the Ancient Furnace

The Ancient Furnace is expensive to build. Here are the required materials:

  • Korallium Ingot - Technology level 62
  • Burning Heart - Technology level 59
  • Hexolite - obtained in-game
  • Corrosive Solvent - via Computer (Technology level 50)
  • Core of an Ancient Civilization - via Expeditions or Summoning Altar (summoning)

Once built, the furnace requires two Pals with at least Fire Kindling level 6 and Cooling level 6. This is where a lot of players get stuck. Two solutions: either you capture powerful Pals in late-game zones that already meet these criteria, or you go through the Pal Essence Condenser to raise the skill level of your existing Pals. The second option is more accessible if you've already farmed duplicates.

Soralite Ingots are then used in most of the recipes unlocked starting at level 67 - advanced armor, high-level tools, end-game structures. So optimizing this pipeline as soon as possible really does change the pace of your progression.

Where would you get stuck in this Sorane Ore grind?

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly can you find Sorane Ore?
Only on the floating islands of Sunreach, south of the map. Gain altitude with a flying mount and look for large dark rocks surrounded by small blue crystals — they appear naturally as you explore, with no fixed spots to memorize.
Why doesn't my regular pickaxe work on the nodes?
Only the Multi-Plasma Cutter (unlocked at level 54) can mine Sorane Ore. Regular tools do absolutely nothing. You also need to aim at the visible crack on the rock — hitting anywhere else yields nothing.
How can you automate Sorane Ore harvesting?
Unlock and build the Sorane Ore Quarry at Technology level 72, then assign Pals to it. Harvesting then becomes entirely passive — it's the best investment for the long run.
What are the prerequisites for using the Ancient Furnace?
You first need to unlock Sorane Ore Ingots at level 66, build the Ancient Furnace (structures that cost a lot of materials), then assign two Pals with at least Kindling 6 and Cooling 6 — many players get stuck at this stage.
From what level do you actually start using Sorane Ore Ingots?
Starting at level 67, nearly every recipe (advanced armor, high-level tools, end-game structures) requires Sorane Ore Ingots. It's a critical resource for progressing efficiently.

Key takeaways

  • Sorane Ore only spawns on Sunreach, the floating islands to the south — there's no alternative location elsewhere on the map.
  • The Multi-Plasma Cutter is mandatory for mining; your regular pickaxe won't work, and you need to aim exactly at the crack.
  • Unlock the Sorane Ore Quarry at level 72 to automate passive harvesting and stop climbing up to Sunreach every five minutes.
  • Crafting ingots requires the Ancient Furnace (level 66) and two Pals with Kindling 6 + Cooling 6 — this is where a lot of players get stuck.
  • Starting at level 67, almost every recipe requires ingots; properly optimizing this pipeline clearly speeds up your late-game progression.
