In brief

Orserk has changed location with Palworld's version 1.0: it's no longer in Sanctuary 3 but in the World Tree, the game's endgame region. To capture it, you'll first need to unlock access to this demanding zone, then track it down in the northeast with the right equipment.

Orserk is one of the pals that changed address with the 1.0 version of Palworld. No more sanctuary 3 - now you have to go track it down in the World Tree, the game's endgame zone. Needless to say, you won't run into it until you've made some serious progress.

Prerequisites: how to access the World Tree

The World Tree isn't a zone you can reach from the start. Two strict conditions apply:

If either of these two boxes isn't checked, access remains closed. This is clearly an endgame zone, reserved for players who have already made significant headway on the main map.

Orserk's exact location

Once in the World Tree, head to the northeast of the region. The nearby reference teleporter is called Yellow Ash Gorge - use it as your starting point, and you'll quickly come across Orserk while wandering around the area.

These bipedal hammerhead sharks - which you may have already encountered as a tower boss's companion - move in groups of 3 or 4 individuals and all display level 74. Not the kind to be taken lightly.

How to capture Orserk

Level 74 in a group doesn't forgive much. Here's what you need to prepare before engaging:

  • Very high-level spheres at the very least - basic spheres won't be of any use here
  • Ancient spheres if your tech tree is advanced enough: strongly recommended, as Orserk resists capture quite well
  • Solid armor - its mid-range attacks hurt a lot even with good gear

The mechanic remains classic: weaken it enough before throwing the sphere. But with groups of 3-4 individuals attacking at the same time, aggro management quickly becomes the real challenge.

Tip

Isolate or neutralize the group members you're not interested in before focusing on your target.

What to remember about Orserk in 1.0

Orserk is clearly an endgame pal. The move to the World Tree isn't trivial: PocketPair repositioned it in the game's most demanding zone, alongside other high-end species. If you're here, it means you're already deep in the thick of it - so you might as well finish the job properly with the right gear rather than attempting a rushed capture with under-calibrated spheres.

Frequently asked questions

How do you access the World Tree to find Orserk?
Two conditions are mandatory: having captured Panthalus and conquered all the towers in the game. Without both of these completed, access remains closed. This is a zone strictly reserved for advanced players.
Where exactly is Orserk located in the World Tree?
Head to the northeast of the region using the Yellow Ashen Gorge teleporter as a landmark. You'll encounter it quickly while exploring the area, always accompanied by 3 or 4 others of its kind.
What equipment do you need to capture Orserk at level 74?
Favor very high-level spheres at a minimum, ideally ancient spheres if your tech tree is advanced enough. Good armor is also essential since its medium-range attacks deal a lot of damage. Weaken it thoroughly before throwing the sphere.
Why is Orserk harder to capture than before?
Orserk has been repositioned in the World Tree, the game's most demanding zone, alongside other high-end species. Not only is its level high, but you always face it in a group, which greatly complicates combat management.

Key takeaways

  • Orserk is only accessible in the World Tree, reserved for players who have captured Panthalus and conquered all the towers
  • The pal is located in the northeast of the World Tree near the Yellow Ashen Gorge teleporter, always in a group of 3 to 4 individuals at level 74
  • Basic spheres are useless: prioritize very high-level spheres, or even ancient ones if your tech tree allows it
  • Aggro management is crucial since you'll be facing several Orserk at once who hit very hard in melee
