Palworld 1.0 Breeding Calculator: All Combinations and Breeding Results
In brief
Breeding in Palworld 1.0 is the only way to get truly powerful Pals with the skills you want. With 72 new Pals added in the update, an online breeding calculator becomes indispensable for mapping out the right combinations and optimal breeding chains.
Breeding is the best way to create the most powerful Pals in Palworld 1.0. But with the 72 new Pals added in the update, finding the right pairs can quickly become a headache. That's where the breeding calculator comes in. Here's how to use it and how to master breeding from A to Z.
What a breeding calculator is for
An online breeding calculator lists all the possible parent combinations for a given Pal. You choose the child Pal you're aiming for, and the tool instantly displays all the pairs capable of producing it, often sorted from simplest to most optimal.
Even more useful, the chain breeding calculator maps out a complete route from a starting Pal to any target Pal. When no direct crossbreeding exists, it calculates the shortest chain - that is, the minimum number of breedings required. It's essential for methodically passing down passive skills (such as Legend) or IVs from one generation to the next.

How to breed your Pals
Breeding relies on four simple steps.
1. Unlock the Breeding Farm. You need to reach level 19 in the technology tree (2 technology points). The Breeding Farm is crafted with 100 Wood, 20 Stone and 50 Fiber.
2. Place a male and a female in the farm. Indicators show the presence of both parents in the enclosure.
3. Place a Cake. The Cake is the resource that triggers breeding: without it, no egg will ever appear. Store it in the chest located next to the Breeding Farm. When the message "Love is blossoming between the two Pals" appears and the chest contains enough Cake, the progress bar fills up until an egg is laid.
4. Hatch the egg (see below).
The Cake recipe
Cake is prepared at the Cooking Pot, with a Pal that has the Kindling ability. You'll need:
- 5 Flour - grind wheat at the Mill
- 8 Red Berries - a berry plantation, or a Caprity on the Farm
- 7 Milk - a Mozzarina on the Farm
- 8 Eggs - a Chikipi on the Farm
- 2 Honey - a Beegarde on the Farm
Remember to restock regularly: every breeding session consumes some.
Hatching the egg
The Egg Incubator significantly speeds up hatching. It's unlocked in the technology tree and crafted with 30 Stone, 10 Paldium Fragments, 5 Cloth and 2 Ancient Civilization Parts.
Some eggs hatch faster under specific conditions. A Hot Egg likes a heat source: place a campfire next to its incubator. Conversely, a Damp Egg or a Frozen Egg hatches faster in a cool spot.

The key principles of breeding
A few rules to know in order to make the most of your breeding:
Cross-species breeding is possible. Two Pals of different species can breed, and the offspring can even be of an elemental type not present in either parent - crossing a Fire Pal with a Dragon Pal, for instance, can produce an Ice-type Pal.
Offspring inherit traits from their parents. A child can learn the active and passive skills of both parents, including skills it couldn't normally obtain. No passive skill is out of reach: even Legend can be passed down by breeding with a Legendary Pal. Combining Lucky Pals also results in even stronger offspring.
Certain combinations create Fusion Pals. Specific crossbreeds produce unique variants: pairing a Mossanda with a Grizzbolt, for example, produces a Mossanda Lux. Note that not every pair results in a fusion.
A quick note
Pals don't evolve. Unlike other games in the genre, there is no evolution system: breeding is the way to obtain overpowered Pals with the skills of your choice.
Once you've got these basics down, a good breeding calculator becomes your best ally for planning your breeding chains and building, generation after generation, the perfect team.
