Honeyglow Woods Recipes Disney Dreamlight Valley: Honey Charlotte and More
In brief
Honeyglow Woods brings 12 exclusive recipes to the Disney Dreamlight Valley DLC, split between desserts, main courses, and starters. Golden honey is the pivotal ingredient — almost every recipe calls for it, so build your Bee Houses as soon as possible. Watch out: several online guides get the accepted ingredients wrong (dairy vs. protein) — here's the corrected version.
The Honeyglow Woods pack is reserved for buyers of the Disney Dreamlight Valley DLC - no recipes available without it. Once inside, you unlock 12 new dishes, split into desserts (we're starting with the most indulgent one, you'll notice...), main courses and starters. Most of the ingredients are unique to the new realm, so expect to explore its various biomes before you can cook everything. Some can only be obtained in specific areas of Honeyglow Woods, others come straight from the base game.
Golden honey: the key ingredient
Almost all the DLC's recipes revolve around golden honey. It's obtained via Beehives, which you can build as soon as you arrive in the DLC. Set them up as early as possible. Without a stock of golden honey, half the list below stays locked - it's as simple as that.
Some ingredients, however, come from the base game: Milk and Mushrooms in particular. Take the opportunity to gather them in your valley before even setting foot in Honeyglow Woods. It'll save you precious time once you're in the DLC.
Ingredients exclusive to the DLC: where to find them
Before getting into the details recipe by recipe, here's a quick recap of the ingredients specific to Honeyglow Woods and how to get them:
- Golden honey - produced by the Beehives you build in the DLC. Top priority.
- Sweet jelly - picked up in the floral areas of Honeyglow Woods, on the ground.
- Puffbud pod - harvested from puffbud plants that grow in the DLC's damp biomes.
- Tree resin - collected by interacting with certain specific trees in Honeyglow Woods.
- Golden pattypan squash - a growable vegetable, seeds are bought from the DLC's merchant.
- Plush fish - caught in the ponds and rivers of Honeyglow Woods.
- Truffle - dug up in dark forested areas, often with your companion.
- Acorn snail - picked up on the ground in the oak tree area of Honeyglow Woods.
- Juniper berry - picked from juniper bushes scattered throughout the DLC.
- Chestnut - available in the base game AND in certain areas of the DLC.

What differs from other guides
Several lists in circulation list any dairy for Windy Day Soup, Grilled Picnic Sandwich, Forest Quiche and Winnie's Birthday Cake. The most recent sources - IGN and gameplay videos published after the latest patches - correct this to any protein. If a recipe won't validate quest progression, this is probably where the issue lies. Consider yourself warned.
I tried the wiki recipes for the quiche and the sandwich, but the game won't validate the progression. » u/anonyme, r/DreamlightValley
The distinction matters: any protein is not the same as any dairy in the game's recipe engine. Valid proteins include eggs, chicken, beef - not cheese or butter, which belong to the dairy category. Take the lists above as the corrected reference, they reflect the game's behavior after the latest patches.
