What is a Private Island in Heartopia and how do you unlock it?

The Private Island is an enclosed space where you can build, decorate and try out anything without being interrupted. Unlike your house, this island is all about unrestrained creativity. It's perfect for those who love design and decoration.

To unlock the island, you first need to reach level 30 of the Builders Association; a decisive level for unlocking the feature. Once you've reached the required level, open the in-game watch and the City Guide, where a new quest called "Island Usage Request" will be available. Accept the quest to receive a call from Mayor Atara, who will let you know that the Private Island is now available.

After meeting the Mayor, you'll then be able to buy the Island Management Terminal for 100 Happiness Stars. Once you've purchased the item, the Private Island will be unlocked.

How to get Happiness Stars

You'll therefore need Happiness Stars to unlock the Private Island. Here are a few ways to get more of them:

• Respond to residents' requests.
• Head over to Heartopia's channels to grab more rewards.
• Keep an eye out for promo codes that might grant you Happiness Stars.

Accessing your Private Island

Once you have the Island Management Terminal, head back to your home. Set up the terminal on your property, then interact with it to enter your Private Island. This space is completely separate from your main house, and is governed by its own specific building settings.

You can travel from your home to your Private Island via the terminal. This lets you manage your builds without any restrictions.

Inviting friends to your Island

While the island is indeed private, you can choose, at your own discretion, to invite friends to visit it. To manage access, open your house settings and see what you want to configure from the Island Management Terminal: access can be opened to everyone or restricted to friends with your permission, and access can also be limited to creators only.

Note

Allowing your friends to visit your island lets them explore your creations, but they won't be able to take part in your building activities on the island.

Activities available on your Private Island

While the island is a place for creativity and relaxation, it doesn't offer resource gathering. On your Island, you can enjoy the following activities: creating original builds, making obstacle courses or roller-coaster-inspired attractions, or even turning your island into a gallery to showcase your furniture and decorations.
