Heartopia: Celebration Tiles now reappear every day at 1 PM Paris time — and the Evening Festival is dated for September 19

In brief

Celebration Tiles from Echo of the Ancients now reappear daily at 1 p.m. Paris time (6 a.m. server time) instead of 24 hours after collection, allowing Builders to fix their daily route. The Evening Festival returns on September 19 for a third, shorter edition, closing on October 9 at 12:59 p.m.

XD released a one-page hotfix for Heartopia on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Its most useful line is tucked under the subheading "Optimizations," the one nobody opens: the Celebration Tiles of Echo of the Ancients no longer reappear twenty-four hours after being collected, but every day at 6 AM server time. For a Builder who does their tile rounds every evening, this is the most concrete change in routine since the celebration launched.

The transition is behind us: the announcement gave itself until "09/04/2026 at 6 AM (server time)" to align all the tiles. That deadline passed as of Friday, September 4, 2026, and there's no more transitional regime to keep an eye on.

The three sentences XD actually wrote

The block fits in a few lines, and they're best read in order:

  • "After this update, Celebration Tiles will reappear every day at 6 AM (server time), instead of reappearing 24 hours after being collected."
  • "However, tiles collected before the update will still have to respect their original 24-hour delay before they can be collected again."
  • "Tiles collected after the update will automatically reappear the next day at 6 AM (server time)."

What they don't say matters just as much: no figures at all. Neither the number of tiles that respawn each morning, nor their distribution between the two zones, nor a daily cap. Any numbered list circulating out there is a player-compiled tally, not official publisher data.

6 AM server time is 1 PM in Paris

XD publishes no European equivalent for its "server time." We worked it out by comparing the two versions of the hotfix: the English one is titled "Flash Update on September 2 (UTC-5)" while the French version dates its maintenance in UTC+1, for the same two-hour window. Server time therefore equals UTC-5, with no daylight saving. Since Paris remains at UTC+2 until Sunday, October 25, 2026, the gap is seven hours: the respawn falls at 1 PM our time. This is our own conversion, not publisher-provided data.

The same caution applies to the maintenance window: "Heartopia will receive a hotfix on 09/02 from 6 PM to 8 PM (UTC+1)," that is, from 7 PM to 9 PM in Paris. UTC+1 is not French time in September, and XD has both reference systems coexisting within the same text.

What the rule changes in a daily round

The old rule armed a countdown specific to each tile, triggered the moment it was collected. But nobody comes back at the exact minute a timer expires: the window would slip a little later each day, and an evening round would end up in the middle of the night after a week. This drift is our own reading of it; the publisher nowhere states that it was a problem.

Since the hotfix, the anchor point is fixed: the deposit opens at 1 PM Paris time and stays open until the next respawn. You choose your own time to swing by, and it no longer shifts on its own.

An arithmetic consequence, and a usable one at that: since the counter is now shared, a round done at 12:45 PM and a second one at 1:05 PM count as two different game days, just twenty minutes apart. The old formula made this double-dip impossible by construction. XD doesn't present this possibility anywhere—it's a deduction drawn from the published rule, to be verified in-game.

Where to farm, and what farming yields

The launch announcement for Echo of the Ancients, published on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, places the farmable elements "in the ruins area of Thermal Mountain and in the Spirit Oak Forest." No other zone is mentioned. Three results from farming:

  • "Capybara Tile" pieces;
  • "Walking Oak Tile" pieces;
  • the "Perforable Stone" capsule.

The assembly principle is spelled out in black and white: "Tile pieces from the same series can be assembled; once the series is complete, they form a full tile decoration." How many pieces per series? The publisher doesn't say: the respawn rate is the only scheduling variable that XD has made public.

Evening Festival: the third edition will be the shortest

The same hotfix sets the date for the game's next social event: "The new edition of the Evening Festival will be open from 09/19/2026 at 6:00 AM to 10/09/2026 at 5:59 AM (server time)." Converted, that comes out to Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM through Friday, October 9, 2026 at 12:59 PM, Paris time.

Placed within the mode's history, the format is tightening. The three editions announced so far on Steam:

EditionPublished window (server time)DurationOriginal announcement
105/28 6:00 AM → 06/29 5:59 AM32 daysMaintenance of May 27, 2026
207/25 6:00 AM → 08/31 5:59 AM37 daysSanrio announcement of July 16, 2026
309/19 6:00 AM → 10/09 5:59 AM20 daysHotfix of September 2, 2026

The durations are our own calculations, as the publisher only publishes the start and end points. The third edition will last almost half as long as the second, and the mode will have been closed for nineteen days since the previous closure, on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 12:59 PM in Paris.

On content, XD limits itself to a single sentence: "During the Evening Festival, new cards offered by the Evening Club, as well as cards created by other Builders, will be added to the evening cards." Nothing more: no manual, no dedicated currency, no new evening format. The Evening Club isn't new either, having arrived with the second edition, in July.

Two windows, and a one-day gap between them

The confusion to avoid at the end of the run: the Evening Festival and the Echo of the Ancients celebration do not close on the same day. The gap is exactly twenty-four hours, and the two dates come from separate announcements.

DeadlineWhat XD publishesIn Paris (in-house conversion)
Respawn of Celebration Tilesevery day, 6:00 AMevery day, 1:00 PM
Opening of the Evening Festival09/19, 6:00 AMSaturday, September 19, 2026, 1:00 PM
Closing of the Evening Festival10/09, 5:59 AMFriday, October 9, 2026, 12:59 PM
Closing of Echo of the Ancients10/10, 5:59 AMSaturday, October 10, 2026, 12:59 PM

One clarification on the last line: the celebration stops one minute before the daily respawn time. If the tiles follow its window — the publisher states this nowhere —, the last harvestable deposit falls on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1 PM, not Saturday the 10th. Counting the one from Sunday, September 6, this leaves 34 respawns. Our calculation, based on the two published bounds.

The five fixes, and the gift you should stop looking for

The rest of the hotfix is a list of fixes, four of which target content covered this summer:

  1. "the ice" was not displaying correctly after entering the Home. The French wording is confusing: the English refers to a flooring texture, not weather.
  2. a roof refused to be placed after walls or floors at the edge of the Home, even though the placement zone remained within the limits.
  3. the Underwater Mountain Management Console could be placed back as an ordinary furniture item for a mission — the English specifies that this concerned the daily missions.
  4. Builders who had not unlocked the Whale Canyon could teleport there ahead of time via the Marine Cleanup Event.
  5. the character's body rotated abnormally during the Marine Cleanup.

There remains the update gift, bad news for latecomers: "Gold Coins x8,000, Star of Happiness x5" had to be collected from the mailbox "before 09/05/2026 at 11 PM (UTC+1)", meaning midnight in Paris, during the night of Saturday, September 5 to Sunday, September 6, 2026. The deadline has passed: no need to search your mail, that bundle is no longer there.

In practice

  • 1 PM in Paris, every day: this is the only time to remember for the tiles.
  • Two zones, not one more: the ruins of the Thermal Mountain and the Spirit Oak Forest.
  • Saturday, September 19, 2026, 1 PM: opening of the Festival, for twenty days.
  • Friday, October 9, 2026, 12:59 PM: closing of the Festival, one day before the celebration.
  • Don't count the tiles in advance: XD has not published any respawn figures.

Frequently asked questions

What time do Celebration Tiles reappear in Paris?
Every day at 1 p.m. Paris time (6 a.m. server time). You can choose your collection time; it will no longer shift over the days.
Can I collect twice on the same day by visiting before and after 1 p.m.?
Yes, it's arithmetically possible: a visit at 12:45 p.m. and a second one at 1:05 p.m. fall on two different game days. XD mentions this nowhere, so you'll need to verify in-game.
When does the Evening Festival close?
Friday, October 9, 2026 at 12:59 p.m. Paris time. The Echo of the Ancients celebration closes on Saturday, October 10, with 34 tile respawns in total.
Where do you find Celebration Tiles?
In the Thermal Mountain Ruins area and in the Spiritual Oak Forest. You collect Capybara Tile pieces, Spirit Oak Tile pieces, and Perforation Stone capsules to assemble.
I missed the update gift, can I get it later?
No, the deadline was September 5, 2026 at midnight Paris time. The package of 8,000 gold coins and 5 Happiness Stars vanished from your mailbox—there's nothing you can do.

Key takeaways

  • Tiles reappear every day at 1 p.m. Paris time, never on a sliding schedule again—your route no longer shifts on its own.
  • Two quick visits at 12:45 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. count as two different game days, opening up exploitation opportunities.
  • The third Evening Festival edition lasts only 20 days, almost half as long as the previous one.
  • XD publishes no figures on the number of tiles or their distribution—any list circulating comes from players, not the publisher.
