The key chocolate ingredient

The key chocolate ingredient to harvest in order to complete the Winter Warmth Star Path quest is the Cocoa Bean. These precious beans are the base of every chocolate dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley; they can only grow on Cocoa Trees, trees found in certain areas of the game.

There are six Cocoa Tree plots in your valley. To start with, we find 2 in Dazzle Beach and 4 in Sunlit Plateau, but like all fruit trees in the game, you've presumably cleared these Cocoa Trees along the course of your journey.

Note

If you've forgotten where your Cocoa Trees are, simply open your Collection menu, choose the Ingredients tab and look for Cocoa Beans. By hovering over this item, you'll see the biome(s) where your cocoa trees are located displayed in the bottom left.

Each Cocoa Tree can be harvested to obtain three Cocoa Beans. After harvesting a Cocoa Tree, you'll need to wait 30 minutes for it to restock. Be careful, Cocoa Beans cannot be planted from seeds...

Strategy to adopt to maximize your harvest

For the "harvest a key chocolate ingredient" mission, you'll need to gather 15 Cocoa Beans. You have 6 Cocoa Trees available in your valley, and each Cocoa Tree gives you 3 Beans, which means you can simply complete this mission by harvesting all 6 of your Cocoa Trees. And yes, because here at Playnews we're very good at math, so with 6 Cocoa Trees, you can get 18 Beans straight away!

If you want to optimize your harvest, you can invite a villager specialized in gathering, along with 2 Companions with the same traits. This will let you get bonus Cocoa Beans. Although random, these bonuses don't count towards the Star Path, but they will let you build up your stock for upcoming recipes.

For completing this mission, you'll receive 10 Tokens to spend in the current event.
