Escape The Backrooms Elevator Code: How To Find It
In brief
In Escape The Backrooms, unlock the Habitable Zone elevator by finding the color code hidden in the parking lot. You need to explore the red door to discover the order of the cars, then reproduce that sequence on the elevator's multicolored keypad to progress.
In Escape The Backrooms, every level is a challenge to overcome. In this cooperative horror game, players get lost in mazes where you have to explore and solve puzzles in order to progress. One of the most interesting puzzles is found in the Habitable Zone (Level Two), where a color-coded locked elevator must be unlocked. Here's how to find the code.

The Elevator Code Puzzle In The Habitable Zone
After passing through Level 0 and arriving in the Habitable Zone, you finally emerge from the ventilation ducts into a parking garage basement. On your left is an elevator that's essential for your progress, but in its current state, it's locked. To the right of the elevator, you'll notice an unusual keypad: it doesn't have numbers, but multicolored buttons instead!
To unlock the elevator and continue through this section of the level, you'll need to find the correct color combination to enter. This combination isn't random, but is subtly hidden somewhere in the game.
The key clue to this puzzle is located at the other end of the parking garage. Indeed, if you look to the right from the elevator, you'll spot a red door beyond the parking spaces. That's the door you need to head toward in order to access the clues needed to unlock the elevator.
Tip
Fortunately, this section of the game has no monsters, so you can venture forth boldly, and this gives you a bit of time to search the other rooms in this area for useful items, such as flashlights or drinks that restore your sanity.

The order to remember here is: red, blue, red, blue
Deciphering The Color Code
Going through the red door, you arrive in a small parking area where various cars are parked, opposite the main area. This is where you'll find the solution to the puzzle shown on the elevator's keypad: you need to reproduce the order of the parked cars by their colors, as arranged in the parking area.
There are four on each side. The code is given in the order of the left row, then the right row; you need to memorize this alternating sequence of colors.
Note
Be careful, the sequence is random each new playthrough, so don't hesitate to go back and forth to observe and memorize it, as you'll need it once you return to the elevator's keypad.
Once you have the sequence to reproduce firmly in mind, head back to the elevator buttons as quickly as possible and press the colored buttons in the correct order. If you've memorized the sequence correctly, the elevator will unlock, allowing you to access the next section of the Habitable Zone to continue your exploration of the Backrooms.

In this example, you would need to type red, blue, red, blue on the keypad to unlock it
