Disney Dreamlight Valley Guide: Where to Find Plastic Scraps?
In brief
Plastic debris is an essential resource in Disney Dreamlight Valley, used to craft items and complete quests. Discover the best methods for finding it, including fishing at Ancient Harbor or using the Small Rubble Shovel Potion.
Disney Dreamlight Valley offers a magical and immersive adventure. One of the essential aspects of the game involves collecting resources, particularly plastic waste. In this article, we'll find out where to find these precious scraps in the game.

What are plastic scraps used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, plastic scraps are an essential crafting material that players can use to craft various items. Finding plastic scraps is also necessary to complete certain quests in the "A Rift in Time" expansion. For example, during the "Give Me a Sign" quest, players must retrieve plastic scraps to help restore Goofy's stand at Ancient Port.
In addition, plastic scraps can be sold for 10 Star Coins each, which can be useful when sold in large quantities. Finally, plastic scraps are also an ingredient in the following crafting recipes:
- Adirondack Chair.
- Corner Shelf.
- Small Wall Shelf.
- Stone Jacuzzi.
- Yellow and Blue Speckled Path.
- Wall Shelf.

Where to find plastic scraps?
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the easiest way to find plastic scraps is to fish in non-rippled spots at Ancient Port. This means fishing anywhere except in white, blue, or red ripples, as players are more likely to only catch fish, seafood, seaweed, or robot fish in those spots.
Note
Fishing for plastic scraps isn't necessarily the most efficient method, as you may only catch fish at first. Plastic scraps seem to appear randomly. However, as long as you fish properly in parts of the sea without ripples, you should soon catch plastic scraps after a few attempts.
As you progress through Eternity Isle and upgrade the Time Bender Table, you can also find plastic scraps after crafting the small rubble shovel potion recipe in Merlin's village project quest: Timeless Trash. This potion upgrade allows you to obtain plastic scraps and dirt when searching through rubble, which may eventually suit you better than fishing.
