Blue Prince Room 8 Puzzle: The Solution in Detail
In brief
Room 8 in Blue Prince is one of the game's trickiest puzzles: you first need to retrieve Key 8 by solving a trial at the Gallery, then place eight animal statues in the correct receptacles representing the seven deadly sins and banality to unlock the Infinity Trophy and progress.
The enchanting world of Blue Prince has no shortage of surreal rooms, each with its own quirks and difficulties. Room 8, mysterious by nature, is one of them, notably having the particularity of being insurmountable if you try to approach it in a disorderly manner, given the need for masterful reasoning. This room, it's important to note, only unlocks after a tricky puzzle, one you may find yourself struggling with: this thorough guide will help you work out the correct answer from start to finish.

How do you get access to Room 8?
To enter the famous Room 8 in Blue Prince, you must first go through the Gallery. It is in this room that you'll be confronted with one of the game's most difficult puzzles, since this room contains a combination of choices whose mastery perfects the technique of the pristine grids. As a reward for this original trial, you can count, among other enchanted rewards, on gems, gold coins, but above all a key so unique that it bears the name "Key 8"!
Note
This key cannot be used on just any locked door. To access Room 8, a locked door must be located on the eighth row (that is, in the eighth row of the map). Key 8 will only grant access to this one door.
An unpredictable random element comes into play in this search: although locked doors are more common in the upper rows, there's no guarantee they'll be there. Patience and tenacity will no doubt be valuable allies in finally discovering this secret passage.

Solving the Room 8 puzzle
Once you enter this mysterious room, you'll find yourself face to face with a huge symbol of the number 8 lying on its side in the middle of the room, which also represents the infinity sign. Against the wall you'll find:
- A lion statue
- A swan statue
- A pigeon statue
- A mammoth statue
- A rabbit statue
- A dog statue
- A greyhound statue
- A monkey statue

Around the infinity symbol, numerous receptacles await, each serving a different purpose: Pride, Envy, Lust, Wrath, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed, Mundanity. Solving this puzzle involves knowing which statue to place in which receptacle, which may lead us to examine the plaque next to each statue, along with the chart on the wall that links (and is therefore essential to) the associations to be made. At the end of this analysis, the correspondences are as follows:
| Statue | Receptacle |
|---|---|
| Lion | Envy |
| Swan | Lust |
| Pigeon | Gluttony |
| Elephant | Wrath |
| Rabbit | Greed |
| Dog | Mundanity |
| Bear | Sloth |
| Monkey | Hubris |
Once all the statues have been correctly placed in their respective receptacles, a secret cavity in the wall will open, granting access to two Allowance Tokens and the Infinity Trophy. This is the necessary condition not only for obtaining this precious Trophy, but also for unlocking the "Trophy 8" achievement among your game accomplishments.

Rewards and consequences
Solving the Room 8 puzzle isn't just the intellectual challenge just described, it's also an important step in your progress within Blue Prince. The Allowance Tokens you'll obtain are valuable resources for improving your options or unlocking new areas. The Infinity Trophy, moreover, carries strong symbolic value within the game's own universe. It triggers an achievement, but it also evokes the circular and potentially endless nature of the adventure offered by Blue Prince, which has led some players to understand that this same trophy subtly alters certain aspects of the gameplay in later playthroughs. This room is thus one of the many puzzles crafted by developer Dogubomb for this work published by Raw Fury, which was developed on the Unity engine, with a most interesting solo rendering on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC since its release on April 10, 2025.
