Monster Hunter Wilds: a closer look at the cosmetic DLC
In brief
Monster Hunter Wilds welcomes three new cosmetic bundles: the Gold Edition at €79.99, the Cosmetic DLC Collection at €59.99, and the Extras Cosmetic Pack at €29.99. These offers bundle together paid skins and visual accessories previously sold individually, without adding any hunting content or new weapons.
No new monster or new zone this week, but a serious tidy-up of Monster Hunter Wilds's paid offerings. Capcom has just introduced three new cosmetic bundles, alongside the release of the Prologue demo (see our dedicated article on the demo and save transfer).
The Cosmetic Downloadable Content Collection (€59.99) brings together ten paid cosmetic content packs in a single bundle. It automatically includes the Extras Cosmetic Downloadable Content Pack (€29.99), itself a compilation of cosmetics previously sold only individually. Zero new weapons, zero new quests: we're talking skins, outfits and visual accessories here, nothing that touches gameplay or hunting content.

At its core, this changes nothing about the gameplay experience. It's purely cosmetic, like a premium wardrobe for your hunter. The real underlying question - whether Wilds deserves a genuine chapter of additional content - will be answered with the Ascendance expansion announced for 2027 (see our dedicated article).
As for value for money, it's hard to get excited. Bundling packs that were already sold separately into a €59.99 compilation looks more like tidying up the catalogue than a genuinely generous offer. These bundles also replace the old Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions as well as the Cosmetic DLC Pass, which are disappearing from the store. For hunters who swear by their gear, it's still a minor detail. For everyone else, it's entirely skippable.
