Founded in 1979, Capcom is a Japanese video game publisher and developer renowned for its cult franchises, mainly action games and survival horror.

One cannot fail to mention the hugely famous "Resident Evil" (the saga that paved the way for survival horror, whose latest instalment, "Requiem", was released on 27 February 2026), "Street Fighter" (the benchmark fighting game, especially in competitive play) and "Monster Hunter" (the franchise that elevated cooperative hunting to legendary status).

Also worth mentioning are "Devil May Cry", "Mega Man" and "Ace Attorney", demonstrating its ability to adapt to all kinds of game styles. Capcom has continued to evolve its creations while relying on its historic franchises, thus maintaining its status as a pillar of the Japanese video game developer scene.
