Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the new third-person action adventure in Capcom's franchise, returning with a brand-new adventure. The story takes place in Kyoto, at the heart of the Edo era, warped by swarms of Malice and invaded by Genma, infernal monsters. The player takes on the role of a samurai equipped with the Oni Gauntlet, a magical artifact allowing them to take on these monsters in intense and bloody sword combat. Presented as a solo epic centered on swordsmanship, the game is envisioned as a «dark fantasy» drawing on historical architecture, and favors progression guided by the search for the meaning of combat. Capcom announces the game's release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
