Dave the Diver: The "In the Jungle" expansion is coming, what content does it include?

"In the Jungle" is a major scripted expansion for Dave the Diver, designed as a brand new adventure of about ten hours that differs markedly from the initial Blue Hole gameplay loop. In this new dive, Dave explores a vast tropical jungle biome centered around an isolated village named Utara, where time passes in real time. Days there are structured around exploration, resource gathering, and serving the locals.

This unique environment features a large freshwater lake teeming with fish that cannot be eaten raw. This pushes Bancho to open a brand new restaurant: the Bancho Grill, which focuses on cooking and grilling rather than sushi. The atmosphere there is livelier, with multidirectional service and villagers who become regular customers over time, strengthening their bonds.

As for gameplay, this update introduces new creatures, brand new ingredients, as well as resources to gather, not to mention a versatile weapon, the Jungle Gun. This weapon can transform into a shotgun, sniper rifle, net, or standard weapon, to adapt to each situation. New bosses, a multitude of mini-games in the forest, and a cast of original non-playable characters also enrich the experience. Altogether, it gives the impression of a "Dave the Diver 1.5", centered on freshwater.
