Baldur's Gate 3: Patch 8, the ultimate update with 12 subclasses, cross-play and more

Patch 8 is the latest major content update for Baldur's Gate 3 and, as such, the ultimate final flourish for Larian's RPG. The most striking novelty concerns the arrival of 12 new subclasses, one per major class, accompanied by new abilities, animations and visual effects that completely relaunch the build meta. The patch also integrates crossplay between PC (Steam, GOG), Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series, with online saves already enabled allowing players to keep their game progress.

The update has also made sure to integrate the full photo mode, which allows players to share the most hard-fought battles, the most striking dialogue scenes, or the unexpected moments of an adventure. On the community creation side, Larian is improving its official modding tool, allowing more game elements to be modified, with more flexibility regarding items and part of its internal content. Support for the game doesn't stop with this ultimate patch, still including hotfixes to reduce crashes and stability issues across the various platforms, particularly on Xbox.

Concretely, this patch 8 has above all made it possible to produce the most complete and most open version of Baldur's Gate 3 ever released; before definitively making way for the studio's other projects.
