Fortnite: a construction site straight out of Freddy Fazbear's, and a FNAF teaser

The image stirring up the Fortnite community did not come from Epic Games. It was the official FNAF-ScottGames account that posted, on August 20, 2026 at 8 p.m. UTC - 4 p.m. ET - a picture of television static struck through with a “Five Nights at Freddy's x ???”. No text, no partner named.

The connection comes from the game itself. Since Override (Chapter 7 Season 4) opened, a building under construction has appeared in the south-east of the island: a long green roof, a triangular facade, two side wings and a stage inside. In other words, the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza of the films. The sighting is credited to AlignedEclipse and was relayed by ShiinaBR - dataminers, not official sources.

That leaves the calendar, the most defensible clue of the lot. The site is not finished, and the official Battle Pass page sets the end of the season at November 1, 2026: Halloween and Fortnitemares fall in its closing stretch. The season is built on video game legends. Sonic and Pac-Man already have their quarters on the map - Green Hill Zone, Pac-Man Island, Blinky Island and Pinky Island - and Epic's August 20 announcement still has Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro waiting in the wings. On Five Nights at Freddy's, though, Epic Games has confirmed nothing at all. Players, for their part, have been calling for this collaboration for years.
