In brief
Frozenbyte is delaying Trine 6: Together in Time by six months, to March 4, 2027 instead of September 17, 2026. The studio is using this extra time to thoroughly overhaul puzzle-solving by offering two distinct modes and to polish combat and the camera.
Frozenbyte and Cooldown Games are delaying Trine 6: Together in Time to March 4, 2027. The game was targeting September 17, 2026: the delay comes close to six months. This four-player co-op puzzle platformer remains planned for Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, plus GOG.com at launch.
Nothing to pre-order
No storefront has opened pre-orders: no price, no buy button on Steam, the eShop or the Xbox Store, and only a standard edition is listed. The June demo remains available to download on Steam, in English only; the final game will feature French voiceovers.
What the studio is doing with the delay
The delay stems from the private playtest held in July. Frozenbyte is adding a second way to solve puzzles, through two modes whose names are still provisional: Freestyle Puzzle Mode focuses on open-ended solutions and using your preferred heroes, while Classic Puzzle Mode builds its puzzles around specific abilities and character switching. Players can switch between the two without losing progress. Combat, camera, controls and online play are also being reworked. The next private playtest is targeted for late October or early November. No French press release accompanies the announcement.
