INDIE Live Expo on December 1, 2026: studios can apply

Ryu's Office is opening applications for the 15th edition of the INDIE Live Expo, which will be broadcast on December 1, 2026. Indie developers and publishers have until September 28 (PT), which corresponds to September 29 at 04:59 AM in France (CEST), to try their luck and hope for a spot in the lineup.

The submission format remains simple: a 30-second trailer accompanied by a 15-second gameplay video, to be sent before the fateful deadline. These applications feed the flagship INDIE Waves segment, which is set to showcase more than 80 titles during this winter edition. The deadline falls quickly after the submissions opening announced in early September, a tight schedule for small teams who have to finalize their promo assets in just a few weeks.

A springboard that has become a must for the indie scene

Ryuta Koinuma, founder and CEO of Ryu's Office, recalled the scale the event has reached:

More than 1,000 applications received for the previous edition, and more than 3,300 independent games showcased since the show's creation.

These figures place the INDIE Live Expo among the major events dedicated to independent games, alongside Day of the Devs or Nintendo's Indie World.

For studios, the appeal is concrete: free visibility with an international audience, without the costs of a traditional show booth. For players, it's a chance to spot titles that would never have made it onto the radar of major publishers. It remains to be seen which genres will dominate this December edition, but given the public's appetite for the indie scene in recent years, the selection promises to be fiercely contested!
