Subnautica 2 Transformer: Building and Crafting Ingots

In Subnautica 2, ores are essential for creating ingots. This article will explain how to build the transformer that allows you to turn ore into ingots.

Building the transformer

To build the transformer, you first need to own its blueprint. This can be found by scanning a damaged transformer. You need to progress through the main missions, which will unlock Quaker's signal corresponding to the transformer's location. Head north of your survival pod until you reach a distance of 412 meters. You'll discover an abandoned base underwater. Once you have the transformer blueprint, you'll need to gather the following materials:

• 2x Raw Titanium Ore
• 1x Light Acid: made from 2x Acid Raion Pouch and 1x Raw Copper Ore.
• 1x Copper Wire: made from 2x Raw Copper Ore.

Installing the transformer

Once you've gathered the materials, you need to go to a room in your base to build the transformer.

The transformer only works with a power supply.

The transformer is a huge energy consumer, requiring 10 units of energy per second. Here's how to supply it with power:

• You can install solar panels. This is the most efficient solution, especially if your base is close to the ocean surface.
• You can also use a battery. This can be a temporary solution, but for a stable energy source, solar panels are the only real recommendation.

To build solar panels, you first need their blueprint by scanning a damaged solar panel. Building a panel will then require raw quartz ore and raw titanium ore.

Crafting ingots

Once your transformer is up and running, you'll be able to craft ingots: for every three units of raw ore you insert into the transformer, you'll get one unit of ingot (the transformation takes about 30 seconds).
