Subnautica 2 Diving Elevator: Crafting and Use
In brief
The dive elevator is an essential tool in Subnautica 2 for quickly exploring the ocean depths. Find out how to locate its blueprints, gather the necessary materials, and use it effectively for your underwater exploration.
In Subnautica 2, the diving elevator is an incredibly useful new feature. Let's see how to craft and use this essential tool.
Location of the diving elevator blueprints
These are found in different areas close to your starting point, so you shouldn't be too disoriented when retrieving them. Here's how to find them:
- First blueprint: Go to the debris located not far from the Welcome Center, about 105 meters southwest from the pod in which you emerged. The blueprint is buried under a pile of rocks, right near the wreck's cliff.
- Second blueprint: Head to the debris of another stranded ship, about 300 meters south-southeast of your pod, 45 meters underwater. In the middle of the wreckage lies the diving elevator's crafting blueprint, itself scattered at the bottom of the rocks.

Crafting the diving elevator
You need a Habitat Builder to create the diving elevator, as it cannot be crafted with a standard fabricator. To access the Habitat Builder, open the menu with a right-click of your mouse and select the "Utility" tab.
To make the diving elevator, you need the following materials:
- 4 units of Titanium
- 2 units of Copper
- 2 units of Quartz
These materials aren't very hard to find, Titanium and Copper are often found on the ground or in caves, Quartz is generally found in areas around coral formations.

Using the diving elevator
It allows for a quick trip between two points and can be very useful for exploring new marine depths.
Tip
Ideally, you can place the elevator above a cliff or an important spot for diving.
To use the elevator, simply grab its handle and you'll be propelled downward or upward depending on the direction chosen. The elevator can descend up to 25 meters, however you can stack multiple elevators to go even further into the depths.
