In brief

The Sotoyama Ski Resort photo challenge simply asks you to frame the resort with a Lamborghini. Zero gameplay difficulty, just a bit of navigating the northwest part of the snowy map to grab your reward.

This photo challenge is part of the Italian Exotics series, on the Spring season. The idea is simple: you need to take a photo of the Sotoyama Ski Resort with a Lamborghini in the frame. Zero gameplay difficulty here, just a bit of navigation.

The resort is tucked away in the Sotoyama region, in the northwest of the map, in a snowy area that jumps out at you as soon as you get close.

How to reach the Sotoyama Ski Resort

The fastest way is fast travel. If you've unlocked the purple bracelet or the blue bracelet, head to one of these two points:

  • The Snowbank Speed Trap
  • The Snow Forest Cross Country Circuit

Both of these events are right next to the resort. Once you've fast traveled to either one, the building is visible immediately, no need to drive for miles to spot it.

Taking the photo with a Lamborghini

Once you're there, just pull up photo mode and shoot the resort with a Lamborghini in frame. Simple, as long as you have one on hand.

If your garage is sorely lacking an Italian, you have two options:

  • Go through the Autoshow and buy one
  • Grab a free Lamborghini in the Ito region, unlocked after your fifth Discover Japan Stamp

The second option is clearly the more cost-effective one if you haven't already blown your credits elsewhere. Might as well take advantage of a free car rather than emptying your account for a photo challenge.

Rewards

Completing this Spring photo challenge earns you Season Points and the legendary Take Off emote. And as with most notable locations in the game, the very first photo of the Sotoyama Ski Resort adds 100 Discover Japan points to your tally.

If you're moving on to other objectives in the region, know that the Takashiro Treasure Hunt is also lurking nearby. That way you can make the detour worthwhile in a single session rather than making the trip back and forth twice.
