PUBG: PGS 9 Drops only available on Twitch and Kick from August 21 to 23 — and 25% of team skin sales go to the clubs
In brief
PUBG is giving out two free Drops during PGS 9 (August 21-23, 10am-3pm UTC) on Twitch and Kick only, but beware: watching elsewhere doesn't count. At the same time, the six 2026 partner teams are selling skins for 990 G-Coin, of which 25% goes back to the clubs.
The grand final of the PUBG Global Series 9 takes place from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, and KRAFTON is accompanying the event with two systems that have nothing to do with each other: free Drops for viewers, and a team skins store, a quarter of the revenue from which goes to the clubs.
Here's how to claim the free rewards without picking the wrong platform, and what the paid option actually funds.
The Drops: two rewards, two tiers, three days
The system is simple and runs across the three days of the final:
| Watch time | Reward |
|---|---|
| 30 minutes | Comic Boom (spray paint) |
| 60 minutes | Stay Focused (emblem) |
The time slots are fixed: from August 21 to 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. UTC, which is noon to 5 p.m. Paris time. Outside this daily window, viewing time doesn't count.
The total required isn't huge — an accumulated hour over three days of competition — but there are only five hours of window per day, and a single day may be enough if you cover it entirely.
Twitch or Kick — and nowhere else
This is the most common mistake and it costs both rewards. KRAFTON only activates Drops on Twitch and Kick. The official wording leaves no room for doubt: "Drops can only be received on the designated broadcasting platforms."
Watching the same final elsewhere counts for nothing, down to the minute.
Three additional conditions to check before Friday:
- A KRAFTON account (KRAFTON Player Account) is required to receive the rewards.
- This account must be linked both to your game account and your streaming platform account. Linking on both sides is required, not just one.
- Rewards can only be claimed once per account.
A final warning, one that stings: "Rewards will not be granted after the end of the specified Drops period." There's no catching up afterward.

The case of consoles
Console players can take part, but with two nuances explicitly stated by KRAFTON: rewards go through Twitch, Kick, or Chzzk Drops, and they "will be available after the live server update".
In other words, don't worry if the items don't appear immediately in your inventory: on console, delivery is tied to the next maintenance, not to the end of the broadcast.
The studio adds that "campaign details may differ depending on the platform" and invites players to check each channel's announcements. It's a standard precaution, but it makes sense here: three streaming platforms and four gaming platforms adds up to a lot of combinations.
Team skins: 990 G-Coin per set, and 25% for the clubs
At the same time, the first Team Edition skins for the circuit's six 2026 partner teams are on sale. Each set costs 990 G-Coin and contains two pieces: a jacket and a name plate.
| Partner team | Set contents (990 G-Coin) |
|---|---|
| Gen.G | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
| Petrichor Road | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
| FULL SENSE | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
| 17Gaming | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
| eArena | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
| Virtus.pro | Jacket + GPT 2026 nameplate |
The line that justifies the purchase for those following the scene is in a footnote: "25% of net PUBG sales from Team Edition skins will be donated to the partner teams." A quarter of the net figure, then, not a symbolic percentage.
KRAFTON states that each item "carries the team's unique identity" and that they were designed in collaboration with the six clubs.
Two sales periods, and a console nuance to know
| Platform | Opens | Closes |
|---|---|---|
| PC | August 17, 2:00 AM UTC | September 10, 12:00 AM UTC |
| Console | After the August 20 maintenance | September 17, 12:00 AM UTC |
Console players therefore have one extra week, but start three days later. If you play on both, make the purchase on PC: the window is already open there.
One point that should temper the urgency: KRAFTON writes that "items may reappear through other in-game platforms (such as the Workshop, Your Shop, etc.) and/or during events and promotions, even after their sales period has ended." These are therefore not permanent exclusives. If the goal is to support a team, the direct purchase during the window remains the right channel — it's the one that triggers the 25% donation.
What to do before Friday noon
Three checks, in this order, none of which takes more than five minutes:
1. Create or find your KRAFTON account. Without it, nothing gets distributed, no matter how long you watch.
2. Link it on both sides: to your game account (Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox) and to your Twitch or Kick account. It's the double linking that trips up most players, because they think it's done when only one of the two is actually set up.
3. Note the time window: noon to 5 PM Paris time, from Friday to Sunday. One cumulative hour is enough for both rewards, but it has to fall within this window.
One last note on method: the two free rewards are referred to by KRAFTON under their English names, Comic Boom and Stay Focused. The esports announcement was not published in French, unlike the game's patch notes — we are therefore keeping the original names rather than inventing translations.

Key takeaways
- Drops only work on Twitch and Kick from August 21 to 23, from 10am to 3pm UTC (noon to 5pm Paris time) — watching elsewhere earns you nothing.
- One cumulative hour of watching is enough to unlock both rewards, but it has to fall within the required time window.
- Your KRAFTON account must be linked to both your gaming platform AND your Twitch or Kick account — many people fail on this double linking step.
- Team Edition skins (jacket + nameplate) cost 990 G-Coin each, and 25% of net sales directly funds the six partner teams.
- On console, rewards arrive at the next maintenance, not immediately — and the skin sale opens a week later, on August 20.
