NTE (Neverness to Everness) Races: Unlocking and Winning Tips

In Neverness to Everness, you have the opportunity to complete race challenges that will let you earn Fons and level up your City Tycoon rank. Let's see how to unlock these races, along with some practical tips to maximize your chances of success.

Unlocking races in NTE

To be able to start your racing adventure, you must be at least City Tycoon level 2. But that won't be enough; you must also own a vehicle: indeed, motorcycles are not accepted!

There are two ways to own a vehicle in NTE. First option, you can get a car for free by completing the Legendary Driver quest. If you missed that opportunity, you can always buy a vehicle at one of the many garages in the city using your Fons.

Tip

Before hopping into your car to launch into frantic races, make sure to check the condition of your vehicle first: repair shops are set up all over the city, and you can recognize them by the car and wrench icon on the map.

Choosing race modes

Once your vehicle is ready, to take part in races, you need to go to the City Tycoon Hobbies menu. There are three types of races:

• Challenge: against non-player characters.
• Online: against other (living!) players.
• Friends: races with your friends only.

To take part in online races, you need to have reached Hunter level 12, while level 17 is required for races with friends.

Race difficulty levels

Races are ranked according to six difficulty levels in NTE:

• Sunday (8 PM-8 AM)
• Coastal Drift (6 PM-6 AM)
• Full Throttle (12 PM-12 AM)
• Meridian (10 PM-10 AM)
• Tempestas (4 PM-4 AM)
• Uncrowned King (7 PM-7 AM)

Tip

It is recommended to start with the easier ones like Sunday or Coastal Drift, to get a good grasp of how races work. Then, you can move on to tougher races by memorizing the tracks and adopting more advanced strategic choices.

Upgrading your car and winning strategies

To upgrade your car, you need to go to specialized workshops, where you can access a modifications menu. A tire change can, for example, increase your vehicle's handling, provided you don't forget to take the weather into account. Upgrading engine power can also be a good option to increase your car's speed.

A small map is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen during the race. Use this map to anticipate turns and adjust your speed for the turn. This will help you avoid crashing into obstacles, and you'll be able to keep some of your momentum.

Tips

You might be tempted to floor the accelerator, but you often need to slow down before taking a turn, in order to keep control of the vehicle. Avoid colliding with other vehicles, as this can hurt your own performance.

Objectives and rewards

Each race has its own objectives, and achieving them earns you rewards. The main objectives are:

1. Win the race.
2. Finish 50 meters ahead of second place.
3. Finish 100 meters ahead of second place.

Individually, for each objective achieved, you can earn flags, which can be exchanged for valuable currencies such as Annulith or Fons.
