NTE Neverness to Everness: Optimal F2P Progression and Resource Management
In brief
NTE asks you to choose between doing everything and losing everything. This guide charts the F2P route: stick to the 15-minute daily loop, put Beyond the Rails at the top of your priorities (1,600 Annulith per week), and manage your two stamina bars without wasting a drop. The result: +3,000 Annulith monthly and an account that progresses instead of stagnating.
The world of Neverness to Everness (NTE) is buzzing with activity. The 1.2 999 Nights patch, which landed on July 8, 2026, is holding the spotlight until around August 19, against the backdrop of the opening of Continent Warren: a massive permanent fantasy RPG mode that contrasts sharply with Hethereau's urban aesthetic. Needless to say, activities are piling up, and Free-to-Play players are quickly tempted to dive into everything at once, at the risk of burning through both their stamina gauges, missing the Circle Gifts, and losing out on the best targets of the Scarborough Fair. This guide focuses on progression strategy: activity pacing, resource arbitration, pull budgeting, and weekly priorities. No rehash of characters, Espers, or the gacha system here: the focus is on the daily discipline that turns an average account into an optimized one.
Where does NTE stand as of July 20, 2026?
We're at the halfway point of the 1.2 999 Nights patch, released on July 8 and expected to run for six weeks, putting the end of the cycle around August 19, 2026. This patch is particularly dense: a new main story called Fighting a Dragon, the opening of Continent Warren with plains, volcanoes, ice fields, lake areas and a final Dragon Dungeon, the Limited storyline arc Blushing Mirage, nineteen new outfits, and a brand-new recoloring system. On the character side, two Limited S banners follow one another: Shinku (the "Before Dawn" banner) then Iroi (the "Lifeline" banner).
The 1.3 patch, revealed via drip marketing, is expected to arrive on August 19 for phase 1 with Zankou (S-Class, Incantation element, katana, wrapping up the Scarlet Letter storyline), then around September 9 for phase 2 with Linko (S-Class, Anima element, Hexed reaction, arriving from ETD-6). These dates are estimates based on Hotta Studio's usual release rhythm and haven't been officially confirmed yet, but they already shape the pull arbitration discussed below.

Official EN vocabulary to know
The English translations published on official channels are now stable. English-language guides often refer to the same items under different names; here's a reference table to keep in mind so you don't get lost between articles.
| Official EN term | Role |
|---|---|
| Annulith | Main pull currency on the Scarborough Fair: 160 Annulith for 1 pull |
| Rift Crystal | Paid premium currency, convertible into Annulith and dedicated to exclusive cosmetics |
| Fons | Civil currency for NPCs, real estate, vehicles, and affinity gifts |
| Tri-Keys | Specialized currency for Arcs (weapons): 80,000 Fons for 1 Tri-Key at the Hunter's Counter |
| Solid Die | Token for the Limited banner, the most valuable item in the game for a F2P player |
| Crafted Die | Token for the Standard banner |
| Character Pixel | Combat stamina (cap 240, +1 every 6 minutes) |
| City Stamina | Civil stamina (cap 240, resets Monday 5am server time) |
On the activities side, remember the Scarborough Fair for the gacha, the Anomaly Hunts for boss dungeons, the Daily Commissions, the Rabbit Hole for Cartridges and Modules, the Origen Cafe and its passive Fons income, City Tycoon for urban business progression, Beyond the Rails for the weekly endgame, and the Pink Paws Heist, a biweekly heist that delivers a million Fons.
The daily routine in fifteen minutes flat
Done well, the daily loop takes a quarter of an hour, or a small half hour if you fully farm Character Pixels and the Rabbit Hole. What matters is the order, which minimizes back-and-forth between menus and prevents you from forgetting a piece of the puzzle.
| Order | Activity | Main reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Active promo codes (Breakflip, Booster-Breakerz) | One-time Annulith and Fons |
| 2 | Passive income from Origen Cafe and City Tycoon rents | Fons |
| 3 | Empty the City's Endurance (Hobby: AFK mahjong) | 240,000 Fons weekly |
| 4 | Empty the Character Pixels (Anomaly Zones) | XP, ascension materials |
| 5 | 4 Daily Commissions | 100 Annulith |
| 6 | 3 Anomaly Hunts | Rare boss materials |
| 7 | Rabbit Hole runs | Cartridges, Modules |
| 8 | Guild check-in and friend gifts | Guild currency |
| 9 | SNS Bagel and free shop | Cosmetics and one-time resources |
The total comes out to around 210 Annulith per day when adding up commissions, login rewards, and event rewards. In other words, skipping the daily routine costs more than 3,000 Annulith per month, or nearly twenty pulls on the Scarborough Fair lost to a simple oversight.

The weekly tempo, Beyond the Rails first
Just one rule: nothing comes before Beyond the Rails, the weekly combat endgame whose reset falls every fourteen days. The All-Day route hands out 1,600 Annulith and 700 Train Log for 30 buckets. It's by far the biggest Annulith package of the week, with no serious competitor among the other activities.
| Priority | Activity | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Highest | Beyond the Rails All-Day route | 1,600 Annulith + 700 Train Log per cycle |
| High | 5 Weekly Contracts | 500 Annulith |
| High | 3 weekly Anomaly Hunts | Up to 200 Annulith + materials |
| Medium | Pink Paws Heist (biweekly) | 1,000,000 Fons |
| Medium | 5 Underground Circuit matches (PvP) | PvP rewards |
| Medium | Weekly guild tasks | Guild currency |
| Low | Collectibles and map puzzles | One-shot Annulith |
The critical weekly threshold remains Monday 5 a.m. server time: that's when the City Stamina resets to zero. Skipping a week means permanently losing 240,000 Fons, the resource needed for three Tri-Keys at the Hunter's Counter. Stack up several weeks of delay and you'll very quickly cap your Bow progression.
Managing both stamina bars without wasting a drop
NTE's two gauges are independent and work differently; this is the classic trap for newcomers who lose hours of progress without realizing it.
Character Pixel: cap at 240, continuous regeneration of +1 every six minutes, meaning twenty-four hours for a full refill. Beyond the cap, the counter stops and the time is lost forever. You therefore need to spend between 40 and 80 Pixels a day in the Anomaly Zones and the Houdinii's Magic Show challenges. The Noise-Canceling Solution item restores 60 Pixels at once; save it for event days when you're farming nonstop, and never use it near the cap or you'll waste it. Unlocking the Dreamweaver Knot Anomaly furniture raises the maximum cap, an investment worth prioritizing.
City Stamina: cap at 240, no continuous regeneration, full reset every Monday at 5 a.m. The rule is simple: each point of this gauge guarantees at least 1,000 Fons in a Hethereau Hobby, for a weekly floor of 240,000 Fons. AFK mahjong against three NPCs remains the best passive return, but fishing, shopping, and fishkeeping all work just as well. Never let the week end with the gauge still full.
Character XP farming vs. weapon XP farming
Once the routine is set, the recurring question is: what should you burn character Pixels on? The answer depends on the roster's level and the account's current cap.
As long as a team member remains below the current cap, priority goes to character XP, farmed via the EXP and Beetle Coins Domain in the Exploration Guide (40 Pixels per run) and Houdinii's challenges. The T1, T2, and T3 Hunter Guides are the key materials; failing to level up beyond the threshold that unlocks Legendary rarity for Cartridges would amount to a flat-out loss of power.
Once the team is capped, switch to weapon XP (Bow) via the Kaleidoscope in Houdinii's Magic Show, with Dye and Beetle Coins as the main materials. Bow ascension materials are farmed at the Bubble Can Factory. A crucial reminder: never spend Annulith on Bow banners. The free farmable S-tier Bows, namely Swallowtail, Beat King, and Morphix, pull the entire roster upward without ever touching your pull budget.

F2P pull budget and Limited targets
This is the heart of the matter. A disciplined F2P account accumulates roughly 10,800 Annulith per month across all channels combined, which is close to 67 monthly pulls. On patch 1.2 alone, with its special gifts and its S-Class Standard selector, earnings climb to the very rare level of 169 cumulative pulls over six weeks.
| Source | Yield (patch 1.2, 42 days) |
|---|---|
| Daily commissions | 2,520 Annulith |
| Beyond the Rails (3 cycles) | 4,800 Annulith + 2,100 Train Log |
| Weekly contracts | 3,000 Annulith |
| Weekly Anomaly Hunts | Up to 1,200 Annulith |
| Gratitude gifts and compensations | 2,200 Annulith direct |
| Hunter Exchange | 500 Annulith + 40 Tri-Keys |
| Circle Gifts (7-day login) | 10 Solid Dice |
| Standard S-Class Selector (after 50 pulls) | 1 guaranteed S-Class character |
Strategic translation: a disciplined F2P player should aim for one guaranteed Limited every six to eight weeks. For patch 1.2, that means choosing either Shinku or Iroi, not both. For patch 1.3, it will be either Zankou or Linko. The pity system on the Scarborough Fair banner guarantees the S-Class within a fixed number of pulls: always finish a pity you've started before jumping to the next banner, or risk losing all the accumulated investment the moment the new character arrives.
Events not to miss in patch 1.2
- 999 Nights: main limited-time event, handing out Annulith and Fons throughout the patch.
- Circle Gifts: 7-day login, 10 Solid Dice. Top priority: these are essentially free Limited pulls.
- Shadow Hide-and-Seek: exploration event rewarding Annulith, Fons, and cosmetics.
- Neon Rift (07/08 to 08/19/2026): Mystery Box handing out vehicles and outfits.
- Gold Rush (07/08 to 08/18/2026): contract guide granting Crafted Dice and cosmetics.
- Flaming Circle Special Route (07/16 to 07/30/2026): Ghost Train variant with bonus Train Logs and Annulith.
- Eibon Partner Program: referral scheme, substantial rewards that aren't publicly quantified but come up regularly among active players.
- 1.2 Creation Event (07/08 to 08/10/2026): community contest, one-off prizes for winners.
Cross-cutting strategic tips
Five habits set an optimized account apart from an average one over the course of a full patch:
- Master the Esper Cycle — the rotation of elements and reactions — rather than collecting S-Class characters. A well-played A-Class, such as Menthe, Aurelia, Baicang, or Skia, clears the endgame without difficulty.
- Prioritize 4-piece sets over perfect stats on Cartridges: 4-set bonuses remain the main power accelerator of the gear system.
- Never spend Annulith on Pixel refills: the six daily refills (60/60/60 then 120/120/120) are a costly trap best left to paying players and a few event emergencies.
- Push City Tycoon to level 16 and the Exploration Guide to level 8 early before tackling true endgame content: this is the board that unlocks most of the account's passive bonuses.
- Unlock the Novis ST-X 950 motorcycle immediately and raise the Witch's House to at least level 3: birds visible on the minimap and daily passive drops that add up effortlessly.
Conclusion: discipline before power
Patch 1.2 is an ideal entry point for a F2P player: massive content, generous gifts, two differentiated Limited banners, and a patch 1.3 already visible on the horizon with Zankou then Linko. The golden rule remains unchanged since version 1.0: never let a reset go to waste, whether it's the Daily Commissions, the City Endurance reset on Monday at 5am, or the Beyond the Rails reset every fourteen days. The rest — which Limited to target between Shinku and Iroi, when to go push through Continent Warren, at what point to spend the Solid Dice accumulated through the Circle's Gifts — is a matter of taste and preference. But it all comes down to this foundation: fifteen well-spent minutes each day are worth, by the end of a patch, a hundred pulls on the Scarborough Fair.
This methodical consistency rewards the patience of the dedicated player, calmly prepares for Zankou's arrival, and progressively secures the Solid Dice accumulated for the next period. French players also benefit from a particularly polished localization: reading the Circle's Gifts, seasonal events, and banners is now perfectly clear, which speeds up decision-making when it comes to committing to Limited pulls.
