Co-op LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy - How to Play Split-Screen Multiplayer
In brief
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy features a local split-screen co-op mode allowing two players to play together on the same console. Find out how to activate this feature and enjoy this gaming experience designed to foster physical closeness between players, without online multiplayer.
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy offers a co-op gaming experience. This article aims to explore all the dimensions of the local multiplayer mode.
Local co-op mode
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy allows you to play with two players locally, meaning the players share the same console. To start a co-op game, nothing could be simpler, just follow these few steps:
Connect a second controller, then player 1 must select a character in the game. Once they are in the game, they must pause the game. In the pause screen, a drop-in mode indicator will appear in the top right corner. Player 2 can then press the indicated button on their controller to join them.
Note
Unfortunately, the game does not offer online multiplayer.
Why no online multiplayer?
While the absence of online multiplayer may irritate some players, it also helps encourage the local experience. The game aims to be "physical", meaning it favors the proximity of players.
The split-screen gaming experience
LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy features a split screen when the game is in co-op mode. When player 2 joins the game, the screen automatically splits, giving each player their own play space.
