Xbox Wire published its wave of Free Play Days on Thursday, August 27. Several outlets are announcing "4 free games": in reality, it's two for everyone and two reserved for subscribers.

Control Ultimate Edition (€39.99) and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (€19.99) are open to all Xbox members. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (€19.99) and ARK: Survival Ascended (€44.99) require a Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, or Game Pass Essential subscription. It ends Sunday, August 30, with no published time.

French Microsoft Store pricing: ARK at €11.24 (-75%), Naruto at €4.99 (-75%), Fatal Fury at €9.99 (-50%). Control stays at €39.99; the €31.99 shown by Xbox Wire is a discount reserved for Game Pass subscribers. Upon purchase, Xbox guarantees the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the trial, but says nothing about save data.

The same post also points to the open beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, free and without a subscription from this Friday, August 28 at 7 PM until Tuesday, September 1 at the same time.

ARK at €11.24 remains the only genuine deal of the bunch. Control can be tried out this weekend, but is bought later: its price hasn't moved.
