In brief

Graceful Decay finally unveils Uncanyon, its ambitious puzzle-game awaited for six years. This puzzle adventure directed by Sonia invites you to merge two parallel realities via fragmentstones to traverse trapped temples, with a release scheduled for 2027 on multiple platforms.

Six years after Maquette, Graceful Decay resurfaces. Annapurna Interactive has just officially unveiled Uncanyon, a puzzle-adventure eagerly awaited by an entire segment of players who had been following the studio since its 2021 release on PS4 and PC. The silence had been long, almost suspicious. There's an explanation for it.

The game features Sonia, cast into a world woven within the folds of parallel realities. The central concept: merging two universes in real time via "fragmentstones" to reveal passages and secrets within trapped temples. Hanford Lemoore, the studio's head, describes an almost childlike starting idea - entering an alternate reality without leaving one's own - which grew into an entire world split into five regions.

Release announced for 2027, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. No specific date, no price, no gameplay footage for now beyond the announcement. The name Annapurna Interactive attached to an ambitious puzzle game is enough to perk up ears: the publisher has a rare knack for spotting singular concepts. It remains to be seen whether Uncanyon will live up to the promise of Maquette, on a bigger scale.
