In brief
Polyphony Digital will roll out a free Hypercar update for Gran Turismo 7 on June 11, 2026, adding five vehicles including four official WEC hypercars: the Peugeot 9X8, Ferrari 499P, Porsche 963, and BMW M Hybrid V8. This update will modernize endurance events and enrich players' garages with models faithful to real-world performance.
Polyphony Digital has announced a new major event for Gran Turismo 7: the Hypercar update will roll out on June 11, 2026. Putting the spotlight on the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this free update adds five cars for the return of modern Endurance racing, including four genuine monsters from the Hypercar/Gr.1 category.
Prototype fans will thus get acquainted with the Peugeot 9X8, the Ferrari 499P, the Porsche 963 and the BMW M Hybrid V8, four official WEC cars that beef up a Gr.1 category that had been rather sparse until now. Each of them has been specially modeled to offer performance close to their real-life counterparts, enough to keep players busy in both online races and time attack on track.
To round out this lineup, the update also adds a Porsche 911 (992) Turbo S Safety Car, which is sure to draw plenty of attention in lobbies, replays, or community events centered around the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This June update isn't a revolution in the game's structure, but it will enrich your garage and give a genuine sense of modernity to endurance events, just ahead of the great Sarthe classic.
