Diablo IV Season 14: PTR 3.1, Pandemonium Ruptures, and Mythic 3.0
In brief
Diablo IV's Season 14 arrives with the PTR 3.1, introducing Pandemonium Ruptures, dynamic rifts opening access to a new zone and the Corrupted Reaper boss. Blizzard is also overhauling the Mythic Unique 3.0 system, turning Mythic status into an item quality applicable to any Unique with a 30% power bonus and new crafting options.
The Season 14 PTR 3.1 of Diablo IV finally offers a concrete look at the new seasonal loop and the major system rebalances the community has been waiting for. At the center of this season are the Pandemonium Ruptures, which open rifts between Sanctuary and Pandemonium and bring a new monster family, dynamic events, and access to the Chamber of the Undying for shinier rewards, with a new boss, the Corrupted Reaper, accessible from Torment I difficulty and above.
Blizzard is also taking the opportunity to overhaul Unique Mythic 3.0 from top to bottom: Mythic status becomes an item quality that can be applied to any Unique, bringing with it a roughly 30% bonus to unique power and new crafting possibilities via the Horadric Cube. Uniques can now benefit from Focused and Chaotic Reroll, while War Boards gain XP, quests, and nodes dedicated to Helltides and Sigils.
PTR 3.1 also introduces a Solo Self Found mode, an increased Obols cap, and a broad class balance pass, which reveal large performance gaps at high Pit levels that Blizzard will need to smooth out before season 14's official launch.
