Battlefield 6: A recap of Season 3 content
In brief
Battlefield 6 Season 3 arrives on May 12 with the Railway to Golmud map in XXL version, a new Ranked Battle Royale mode in Quads, and several iconic weapons like the M16A4, the RPK-74M, and the PP-19. A major update that significantly enriches the multiplayer experience.
The 1.3.1.0 update corresponding to Season 3 of Battlefield 6 arrives tomorrow, May 12, on the servers, and it serves up on a platter the map Railway to Golmud, an XXL version this time around, deep in the Tajik mountains. The large map offers more space, redesigned sight lines, fine-tuned vehicle balancing, and adjusted cover following testing sessions in Battlefield Labs. Enough to send you sprawling in edge-of-your-seat fights, whether in the dust or at altitude.
On the competitive front, ranked Battle Royale mode (YES) makes its debut in REDSEC in Quads format. Not exactly thrilling, but a smooth entry, with tailored supporting rules, and the promise of a roadmap to follow the classic multiplayer one. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time!
We're also adding iconic weapons: the M16A4, the highly versatile assault rifle switchable between semi-auto and burst fire, ideal for short and medium range; the RPK-74M, an LMG with precise but long-range fire and little recoil; and the unmissable PP-19, a devastating SMG with its helical magazine, so much fun for tearing through enemy squads. We also have the L115 sniper rifle, the return of Obliteration mode, and the return of gadgets like the portable jammer.
