AC Black Flag Resynced: patch 1.0.4 plugs the gaps
In brief
A week after launch, AC Black Flag Resynced receives its first major patch 1.0.4, fixing the most critical bugs: cutscenes capped at 30 FPS on PC, the Jackdaw disappearing after an upgrade, and several gameplay issues. The patch also brings visual adjustments and rebalances open-world weather.
A week after its launch, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced gets its first major patch. Version 1.0.4 is now available, and the most anticipated fix on PC is undoubtedly the one for cutscenes locked at 30 FPS in the "Custom" graphics mode - a silly bug that ruined the presentation from the very first hours on the platform.
On the gameplay side, two fixes deserve attention. First, the Jackdaw that could disappear after a dockside upgrade - losing your ship in the middle of a playthrough is the kind of bug that sends a save file straight to the trash. Fixed. Then, an involuntary double jump issue with advanced parkour enabled, which completely broke immersion. Harpooning sessions also gain in smoothness: the humpback whale could no longer be dodged, and the freeze that occurred when launching a boarding action while harpooning has also been resolved.

The open world receives a few welcome cosmetic touches - floating bushes now anchored to the ground, weather that can finally turn foggy - but Ubisoft also took the opportunity to increase the proportion of sunshine and clear skies. This weather rebalancing is the only point slightly dividing the community on r/assassinscreed: some players actually enjoyed the more frequent stormy atmosphere.
Several quests have also been unblocked - notably "The Governor's Farewell" and the Animus wall bug that prevented any progress. Additionally, hints have been added during the fight against El Tiburón to better guide players on the guard-break mechanic.
Automatic download on all platforms: 2.44 GB on PS5, 3.71 GB on PC, and a hefty 15.35 GB on Xbox Series.
