Studio DoubleMoose Games and publisher The Arcade Crew have announced the release of Abyssus, the brinepunk roguelike co-op shooter, on June 25 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. To celebrate the multi-platform launch, the free 1.3 update will arrive simultaneously on PC to offer a consistent gaming experience to all Brinehunters.
In the abyssal depths, a new God will bestow brand-new blessings upon you to boost your arsenal and abilities. The older Gods haven't been left out either, as new blessings have been added to their palette. A brand-new playable area, teeming with massive brinepunk machinery, this time introduces new monstrous enemies and giant bosses, as well as new room objectives, making runs ever more unpredictable.
The skill tree has been reworked and expanded, while matchmaking becomes smoother thanks to quickplay options. Crossplay is now fully available from launch for frenzied sessions between PC and console friends. On top of that, new sea shanties to liven up co-op sessions, and a paid Brinerot pack (3.99 euros), including an outfit, helmet, emote, and portrait frame.
This surprise Summer Game Fest reveal could propel Abyssus toward new salty horizons. Ready to brine?
