Stupid Never Dies: State of Play trailer unveils the KOM Generals
In brief
The State of Play finally reveals the true antagonists of Stupid Never Dies: the Four Generals of KOM. Between Surtr the gassy brawler, Dragul who's dying to be killed, Takiyasha-Hime the loyal possessed warrior, and Wolfgang the submissive one, the game shifts from a showcase of mechanics to genuine narrative worldbuilding. And the big question remains hanging: can Julia come back to life?
Third trailer, and this time GPTRACK50 stops beating around the bush. The State of Play served as a global showcase to present the villains who will give a hard time to Davy, our favorite pathetic lovestruck zombie from Stupid Never Dies.

The video introduces Everent, a sage tied to Gaia who refuses to join KOM out of ecological conviction - a choice that earns him a well-deserved curse. But the real highlight is the Four Generals of KOM: Surtr, a thick-headed brute who hates zombies and despises the weak; Dragul, the near-immortal Impaler desperately searching for someone capable of killing him; Takiyasha-Hime, possessed and pathologically loyal to KOM; and Wolfgang, a cunning pack leader who chose to submit rather than defy the final boss. Each one gets their own visual teaser, mixing combat poses with the small touches of dark humor typical of the franchise.

Compared to the first two trailers, which focused on the general pitch and action mechanics (Style Eat, Body Hack, Davy Burst), this new installment marks a clear narrative shift: the focus moves from gameplay systems to worldbuilding and antagonists. The question posed in the subtitle - Can Julia be brought back to life? - confirms that the story is finally taking precedence over the gameplay showcase.

Release confirmed for October 21 on PS5 and PC (Steam). For release details and the demo playable right now, head over to our dedicated articles.
