In brief

Seed Sparkle Lab unveils a Release Date Trailer for Starsand Island that showcases multiplayer for up to four players and confirms the Early Access launch on August 18 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. The new trailer marks a shift toward community life, with scenes of dates, group exploration, and the Autumn Pumpkin Carnival as the major seasonal event.

Seed Sparkle Lab has posted a Release Date Trailer for Starsand Island. Two minutes that mainly serve to promote the Early Access launch, but that also lay out the visual foundations of what the game is becoming.

The video runs through shots of the four-season cycle, the heart of the pastoral simulation system, along with sequences of fishing, ruin exploration, and battles against fantastical creatures. Several players can also be seen together on screen, visual confirmation that the four-person multiplayer mode is indeed part of the final package.

Compared to the Early Access trailers, which mostly emphasized solo farming and customization, this new trailer marks a clear shift toward community life: scenes of dates between romanceable characters, group moments, a livelier atmosphere around the island. That makes sense, since the launch update adds three- and five-heart relationship quests for the 19 NPCs, as well as new dating activities. See our dedicated article on the launch update for details on these additions.

As for the schedule, no particular surprise: the full release is set for August 18 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), with physical editions to follow in November. See our dedicated article on release dates for prices and platforms.
