Rev. NOiR: the Story Trailer unveils Asch and Finé's drama

Konami and ILCA have dropped two videos back to back for Rev. NOiR: a 2nd Trailer and a Story Trailer. The stated goal: to set the stage for this new RPG ahead of its release in 2027, which we cover in detail in our article dedicated to the launch window.

The Story Trailer focuses on the meeting between Asch, a young boy guided by an astral ordinance instructing him to "save many people", and Finé, a young clerk who bears the power of the Rainbow Astria. Their starting point: a village burned down by the Lightfall, that phenomenon which condemns everything it touches. We also catch glimpses of Diana, a guard of the Astrian Order, and Kross, the gunner who joins the group along the way. The tone remains dark, almost fatalistic, with this question running through the entire story: divine providence or free will?

In terms of format, this Story Trailer complements the 2nd Trailer released alongside it, which is more focused on the overall atmosphere and the visuals of the world. This is the first time the studio has detailed the game's mythology so precisely - the Determinant, the provitons, the Seasons of the Lightfall - after an initial announcement that remained fairly vague on the lore.

Rev. NOiR is expected in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam. No precise date or new communication window has yet been confirmed by Konami. To watch the 2nd Trailer, just scroll down below!
