ATLUS has unveiled the Story trailer for Persona 4 Revival, a two-minute trailer that dives straight into Inaba's murder mystery without detour. Between reworked 2D cutscenes and the reveal of the Midnight Channel, the tone is stunning: this remake is selling a thriller, not a sequel of mechanics.

ATLUS released the "Story" trailer for Persona 4 Revival on Wednesday, August 26. Two minutes and twelve seconds that don't sell a mechanic: a small-town mystery.

The editing mirrors the game's first hour: the hero steps off the train, walks through Inaba's shopping district, has dinner in front of the evening news between Nanako and Dojima, then the "KEEP OUT" tape eats up the screen. Chie recites the legend: a turned-off TV, a rainy night, and at midnight someone appears on the screen. The Midnight Channel. The video crosses over to the other side: a castle in flames, analog distortions, the maw of a giant Shadow in 2D animation.

The battle lasts only a few seconds, but the essentials come through: a shattered Persona card, a cloud of dust from an All-Out Attack, HP/SP gauges overlaid on screen. The showstopper is elsewhere—Yosuke's awakening as he faces his own Shadow, yellow eyes and "You can't hide anything from me."

A shift in tone from June's pre-order trailer: ATLUS fully embraces the thriller angle. Two title cards, "This small town has a big secret" then "Uncover the truth," frame a shot of the full Investigation Team, streaked with CRT scan lines.

Releasing on February 18, 2027, priced at €69.99 on Steam. The closing card only mentions Series X|S, PC, cloud, and Game Pass; yet the French PlayStation Store is already taking PS5 pre-orders. French translation for interface and subtitles, English and Japanese voiceovers.
