Monuments Renovator: PS5 trailer lays the foundations on console

Ultimate Games has released a new official trailer for the PlayStation 5 version of Monuments Renovator. This video serves above all as a calling card for the console: it revisits the concept already known on PC, but with an emphasis on the visual rendering adapted to PS5.

The footage moves through restoration sites: scaffolding set up in front of eroded facades, close-ups of conservator tools, before/after shots of sculptures and frescoes regaining their original colours. The editing alternates between pure gameplay sequences - sanding, cleaning, rebuilding missing pieces - and more contemplative shots of the monuments once restored, in order to sell the relaxing side of the formula.

On the substance, nothing new compared to what we already knew from the PC version: the game still relies on this educational and soothing approach to simulation, where you learn about the history and architecture of the sites while repairing their damage. The real change is the platform: this trailer mainly marks the title's arrival in the PlayStation ecosystem, without shaking up the recipe.
