Dungeon of Dragon Knight Remake: the PS5 trailer is revealed
In brief
HexGameStudio unveils the PS5 trailer for Dungeon of Dragon Knight Remake, an unabashedly old-school dungeon crawler that ditches the PC version's shop system in favor of pure exploration. Launching August 10 with a 20% discount, the game proudly wears its classic influences, from grid-based movement to environmental puzzles.
HexGameStudio has just dropped the announcement trailer for Dungeon of Dragon Knight Remake for PS5, and it fully embraces its old-school influences. First-person view, grid-based corridors, real-time combat: the trailer makes no attempt to hide its classic dungeon crawler DNA, it owns it.
The shots show first-person exploration, tile by tile, through stone corridors steeped in history. We catch a glimpse of a party of four adventurers forming, spanning various classes and races, as well as close-combat sequences where timing takes precedence over turn-based mechanics. The trailer also puts emphasis on environmental puzzles: hidden levers, ancient engravings, clues scattered throughout the scenery. An atmosphere clearly reminiscent of Legend of Grimrock, a comparison that solo developer Hector Xiang himself acknowledges in his communication.

Unlike the original game released on Steam in 2019, this PS5 version completely does away with the shop and currency system. A deliberate design choice to refocus the experience on pure exploration, without distraction. It's the most notable change compared to the base PC version, one that wasn't necessarily visible in the original screenshots.
As for the schedule, there's no endless wait: the game launches on August 10 on the PlayStation Store. For the price and launch discount, we refer you to our dedicated article on the release date and the PS5 deal.
